This is a very disturbing article about the University Bank in Ann Arbor Michigan. The bank has recently implemented sharia banking, but to make matters worse they have even canceled their annual Christmas party and have stated that no alcohol will be served at after work gatherings.

I said that they banned alcohol at the after work parties, I did not say to ban all alcohol bans, but it is people like you who the Islamists thrive on. Good work.
Gotcha.. by law then, all banks are required to charge interest. By law, all banks are required to invest only in high risk investments. By law, banks are not allowed to charge fees in lieu of interest. By law, banks are only allowed to charge high fees.
Yep, that protects a free market and a free society.

Banks charge interest...that is what they do.
Maybe you will wake up to the fact that as Islam advances our free society slowly disappears, but I doubt it.
Some folks would rather sit around and bitch instead of examining how they intend to get from point A to point B.
As I mentioned to another poster, I think the way we are being thrown down two paths in this conversation is the term ‘law’. We are not talking about writing in the books a legal requirement to follow Sharia, the term ‘law’ in this case is like how many Christians follow the Noahadic laws, not as a legal definition regulation, but as personal guidelines.
I understand where you are coming from, you don’t want the US legal system to adopt the requirement that Sharia law (’law’ as in criminal or judicial standards) be required. Most people here are talking about the personal practice of the parts of Sharia law (’law’ as in a personal morality) that are part of normal, individual freedoms.
We all are basically talking about two entirely different aspects of this.

So true, they cannot see how our freedoms are being used against us or the consequences of allowing Islam (the greatest threat to the freedoms of the West) to advance.

No, I'm saying that we don't destroy the 'free' in free market, all for the sake of the fear of one enemy. If we give our our freedom, then we create a society that is willing to accept a totalitarian rule, thus, more willing and vulnerable to a full judicial type of Sharia law. One thing that is consistent in nations that are governed by Sharia law is they totally ban all they deem unacceptable, thus you don't even have the freedom to practice personally your own moral laws. If a country goes down the road of willingness to ban simple personal acts or choices, then we become a country willing in a generation or two, to really accept a totalitarian type rule like Sharia. (again, crossing the line from personal moral law to judicial law.)
Freedom to personally choose to practice aspects of Sharia that don't violate other's rights also means the freedom is there to not practice said aspects.

America celebrated independence at one time. Now the “free traders” want a global homogenization of nations and laws because it will ‘remove barriers to trade’. It also removes the exceptionalism of the American people, and forces us to become like ever other third world country in the world.
