My husband has said in the past “Maybe we need a war, people here have no idea what it COULD be like”. Now I disagree that we ‘need’ a war (and he is condoning, nor wishing. just frustrated at the level of shallowness and ingrates in America) but even people in the pre-babyboomer generation recognize what life was like before all these advances. Heck, they didn’t even know what it was like to live through pnuemonia without antibiotics, much less TRANSPLANT A HEART? It’s just kind of crazy the way people take freedom for granted.
