President-elect Barack Obama capped the first day of his inaugural celebration here before a crowd of about 40,000 people by calling for a “new Declaration of Independence” and a return to the idealism of 1776.
Yesterday, Atlas reported the uh, disturbing news that Obama was taking a page from his role models Chavez and Castro, and proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.

Maybe I didn’t read it carefully, but can you point out where he referred to being ‘president for life’ or anything along those lines. I’d like to share the story, but I don’t see that reference.
Conservatives, if you don't understand the fight which is on the horizon you better get a clue fast because your way of life is about to change drastically. Are you willing and ready to fight because if you're not then get out of the way because more responsible, unselfish men and women are going to have to keep our freedom alive.

JFK said in his Inaugural Address that he welcomed the opportunity to defend freedom in its hour of maximum danger. That time has now come to this country, and the responsibility to defend freedom has fallen to conservatives.
He has already destroyed the Constitution by not being eligible to be President, why not destroy the 22nd Amendment too?
He will be sucking up to the UN now and getting them to try to take our sovereignty, and appoint him dictator for life.

We are talking extrapolation here. Let me ask you this question. If the 22nd amendment is indeed repealed, do you really believe that the Messiah will step aside in 2016(assuming he wins in 2012) at age 55 and not run again? If you really believe that, then I can make you the next winner of American Idol. Do you think George Soros, Bill Ayres, and Obama have invested so much time, energy and money in getting Obama elected that they are going to trust their future fortunes to some uncharismatic, second-string Democratic hack to secure what they have already gained. America, stop being naive about and charitable towards Obama. Obama is evil, he is the devil. Accept it and move on to 2012 from that viewpoint.

I know how Americans think. They think in complacent terms of political cycles. They just assume that the fundamentals of America are not going to change—that Obama will only be President for 2 terms then ‘we’ll have our chance again’. Do you think in 1933 when Hitler was made Chancellor of Germany that the opposition felt the same way. Let Hitler have his day-then we’ll get back at him at the next election. Well, how did that strategy work out?
It takes almost forever to get an amendment passed, if it passes at all. And more likely than not, any such amendment would not apply to Obama but to president No. 45 or 46. Folks, I’ve got enough things to worry about, and this isn’t one of them.
Does he want America to be another Kenya?
The sickening part about this is that if you asked the 52% of voters in the last election would you mind a repeal of the 22nd amendment to the Constitution, they'd look at you as if you had just fallen from space. Public education has dumbed down public discourse to the point of finding significance in the selection of a dog for the Obama children or the new color of the drapes. Just look at some of the YouTube videos of people interviewed who voted for Zero. These are truly scary times we live in and a lot of the causes are of our own making.
And a word of advice to the false messiah as to a “new Declaration of Independence.” We've done just fine with the original for the last 233 years. Get over yourself.

I think you’re jumping to conclusions about the intent of my question. I am looking for information which I was able to find.
If people think that we don’t have a major fight coming, then they are drinking the Kool Aid as well. There is something very wrong with Obama, beyond just being a democrat with liberal policies. I believe in my bones that his change is something that the millions who voted for him have not even considered. With his slick talk and promises he has hypnotized the masses. He scares the hell out of me, are we going to have to fight against another Castro or Chavez? Are we going to truly be dissidents like we see in Iran and China? Don’t ever think it could never happen here.
