Real Science: Man-Made CO2 Can’t Cause Global Warming; It Doesn’t Have the Mojo

Despite all scare-mongering to the contrary, carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere is not the cause of global warming.

To be an agent of greenhouse heating, carbon dioxide (or any) atmospheric gas would have to be capable of absorbing in significant quantities both the sun’s radiation spectrum (the ultimate source of natural heating on Earth) and of absorbing heat radiating back from the Earth (the greenhouse effect).

There is a process to measure a gas’s absorption ability called atomic absorption spectrometry. Suspicious of the entire global warming hysteria, atmospheric physicist James A. Peden put carbon dioxide through just such an analysis. Based on where and how much of the sun’s total radiation output, which consists of light and other wavelengths not visible to human eyes, Peden estimates that carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere takes in no more than 8 percent of the sun’s total radiation.

Global warming...right, like the -2 degrees here in detroit, and 22 degrees above freezing in florida, georgia and other southern U.S States...right...

Al Gore is probably locked in a panic room in fear of his life lol

Read Talmadge’s biography at the link. She’s a real middle aged hippie who actually seems to have seen the light on at least one thing, the AGW scam. If more like her see it, we may be able to avoid a socialist catastrophe.

Carbon Dioxide is also fairly reactive and does not maintain its structure/properties etc. in the atmosphere as it constantly undergoes reaction with other substances both combining to form new ones and just outright dissociatating.

Duh. Anyone with any brains whatsover has known this all along, but apparently only complete idiocy is listened to these days.

More evidence of climate change. We are not familiar with the term, "global warming." Now stop typing, step away from the keyboard, and the storm troopers will be with you shortly.

Didn’t the famous pothead, Carl Sagan start the “CO2 is causing global warming” hysteria? He also said the first Gulf War would cause a nuclear winter because of the oil well fires.

This article is exactly in line with my friend the atmospheric physicist. He said that water vapor completely dominates the greenhouse effect.

In general, warmer temperatures mean more water vapor in the atmosphere, since most of the world is covered in water. We know in the past it’s been warmer than now, therefore there MUST be a corrective mechanism that kicks in when things start to warm. This is also evident in the many warming/cooling cycles we see in the prehistoric record.

The case for Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming keeps getting weaker, and weaker - especially as the planet continues to cool.

I understand that hydrogen powered vehicles emit water vapor as a fuel-burning byproduct instead of CO2. If this is the case, wouldn’t hydrogen powered cars have a far greater effect on global warming than gasoline powered cars?

Didn’t the famous pothead, Carl Sagan start the “CO2 is causing global warming” hysteria?

Sagan may have popularized the idea, but the Swedish scientist Arrhenius is evidently the first to propose that if the CO2 in the atmosphere increases geometrically, earth's temperature will increase arithmetically.

CO2 has been considered the driving temperature force by most of the modern day warmists. But earth and its climate are orders of magnitude more complicated than foreseen by Arrhenius and by our modern warmists.

Gee, we exhale CO2 with every breath, the CO2 is absorbed by plants that exhale oxygen.

Somebody has really provided for mankind insofar as this planet is concerned.

This article is exactly in line with my friend the atmospheric physicist. He said that water vapor completely dominates the greenhouse effect.

And when the temp rises and too much water vapor is formed, it does something really stupid. It forms clouds and reflects excess heat back into space. Unbelievable!

Our new President and his new cabinet all believe in Global Warming. Hilary stated just the other day she would be working on the Kyoto treaty, They have decided not to look for oil anywhere, and stop drilling.

Rot o’ Ruck convincing them otherwise, they are already spending the cap and Trade money.

Because water is so abundant and easily evaporated, no. Anything that man does to produce water vapor will be millions times less than natural water vapor.
