In the military it's called "mission creep." That is when you start out doing one thing and end up doing something that has nothing at all to do with what your main function is supposed to be. Unions in New Mexico have just shown mission creep, once again, because, for some reason, labor leaders in that state imagine it is their duty to tell government what sort of taxes should be invented for the citizens of Santa Fe.

These so-called labor leaders have decided to urge government to institute a "transfer tax" on houses that they deem "too big" to be allowed to be sold without confiscatory taxes imposed upon them.

Now, why a labor union imagines it is in its purview to discuss tax policy... well, that is anybody's guess. At least it should be surprising to anyone that thinks it is only the government's duty to discuss and create tax policy and NOT a union's duty. But, as always, someone forgot to mention to the unions that unions have no business imagining tax policy...

But they truly fit with the O administration since they adhere to the Chicago political playbook.

The organized extortion of unions is everywhere. The libs pander to them for their votes and are now trying to get the NEA on board by paying them off with bail-out money under the ruse of more money for schools which has already been proven to be a total waste of taxpayer money.

Zero will pander to EVERY union at the local, state and national level and is working hard to get government unions into his VOTER ARMY. He will steal and give anything to them to get and keep their votes -—

And so knowing full well the unions have influenced tax policy in the past, who still agrees with paying taxes?
Forget the Fair Tax, we need a tax revolt.

Usually, the unions hide behind the skirts of the politicians they hire to tax us. At least this is truth in advertising, the public gets to see who really wants the money. It might even make it easier for politicians to oppose union demands the next time there’s a contract negotiation.

In Nevada, the teachers’ union has worked to get initiatives on the ballot that will increase the room tax and business tax, as well as increased sales tax. This is nothing new for us.

Unions are becoming sort of like a...socialist workers party, no?

While waiting at a garage where I dropped my car to be worked on, I overheard another customer and the shop guy talking.... They said if EVERYBODY didn’t PAY their taxes, Congress would have to listen. They were talking about property and income taxes... It would be nice if we could note on our payment coupon: “Funds in escrow account until freedom of information act request for details of bail-out are released...”

As soon as Pelosi allows unions in on her vineyard business, I’ll reconsider a union’s usefulness.
