The entire article is worth reading. It is an exposition of the source of the seeming double standard on the part of "progressives," and I use that term advisedly. The idea is simply that revolutionary violence is justified, its propagators given unlimited moral sanction, and its victims without either the rights of redress or self-defense. This is not an exaggeration, and the doctrine's adherents are not amenable to reason.

They are, however, among the first against the wall in a real revolution. And revolutionary violence is controllable by the proverbial "whiff of grapeshot" but the fellow pulling the lanyard always has his own agenda.

There are no “liberals” any more. These people are progressives, code word for communists. Call them what they really are. They love islamists because fanatics are easier to convert to communists.
