And I reckon we are about the same age. So there. Take that.

I later took the time to check your posts on other subjects.

I apologize, and can only defend myself by noting that I said "might be" rather than "is".

We do have lots of trolls on these Natural Born Citizen threads, as I'm sure you are beginning to notice.

Also, it cannot be stressed enough that congress would love any excuse to take away our weapons.

They would love one, but they don't need one, they are going to do as much as they can while they think they can get away with it. That argues for them doing it as early in the 111th Congress as they can, hoping people will forget by election day 2010. Fat Chance, but they are nothing if not arrogant.

Uh oh. I am so new here that I did not realize that you can check back into the history of someones thoughts. Did you notice how those evolutionists tried to beat the tar out of me? El Gato, and I accept your apology.
I am just as disappointed as the rest of you that we have a lying muslim traitor with criminal associates who has been handed the highest office in this country and I am astonished because he cannot pass security clearance well enough to shine his own shoes.

It looks like almost everyone has thrown in the damn towel to me. This case is different. Think positive.

Personally, from a Constitutional and legal standpoint we have to enforce the few eligibility rules there are for President or it makes the whole system more of a farce than I can stomach. That said, it will likely be a disaster for the country if Obama is stripped of the office with the riots and the chaos . . . and we are left with Biden, one of the least trustworthy demagogues I’ve ever witnessed.

Any real conservative would have signed up much longer ago than just under 3 weeks ago.

Your criteria that- a 'real conservative' has to have signed up by 3 weeks ago (Dec. 23rd, 2008) sets the bar pretty high for any future 'real conservatives' to come on board, don't cha' think, not to mention that it's illogical as h-e-double-hockey-stick?

Everyone has an initial sign up date, EVEN YOU!

Need I state the obvious El Gato, that YOU were a 'noob' once upon a time?

About THAT campaign... many 'real conservatives' didn't much care for John McCain, so, many 'real conservatives' didn't do much for John McCain, except maybe hold their nose and pull the lever. Where were they during the campaign? Many were on the sidelines, sittin' 'this one' out.

I think you might want to try a different type of welcoming strategy on our new neighbors.

I did not sign up *after* an election, but rather well before the 2000 election. I just happened upon the site. As it turns out, so did SisterK, but in her case the timing appeared suspicious, especially when she made what *appeared* to be smart alecky remarks about Rush being a plant, rather than indicating significant issues of long standing with Rush, which many of us have.

Yes everyone is a noob once, but not everyone signs up right after a losing election, and then tells the rest of us what to think, and only posts to threads on a single topic, or very few topics. Yet we've had a lot of that since 11-04 and the issue has (mostly) been the "birth certificate" or "natural born citizen" one. So I was particularly sensitized to new sign ups waltzing in like they, and not Jim Rob, owned the place.

As it happens, I messed up in SisterK's case, and have learned my lesson to check their posting history first. I have also apologized to her, and she has accepted my apology.

Believe it or not, there are very conservative people who are not on the internet. Hopefully sooner or later they will be on line - since we are running out of honest places to hear the news. Because we are late to learn about Free Republic, makes us no less patriotic. Since I have learned of this site, I recommend it to my intelligent friends and hope that they glean as much as I have. Conservatives are such a political minority that we really must stick together for strength, inspiration and to hunt for The Cure. Meanwhile, keep your powder dry and do not let the UN into your home.

El Gato, you're a good dude! I see noobs getting taken down left and right... some deservedly so, and others by collateral damage. Give a noob a couple of strikes before tossing them on the scrap heap, OK?

To be honest with you; I have become completely turned off by Rush and his counterparts on the radio, regarding their handling of the natural born citizen angle. Trust me when I say that I chased Rush across the compound of Kandahar, Afghanistan, in 2005, to no avail. Rush was there and spent the night in Kandahar, Afghanistan, much to our surprise.

Look, dissenting opinions do not make a person the enemy!

Freepersup, your voice sounds familiar. Did I work with you in Iraq?
Keep up the good work.
And thanks. Times are too perilous for us to rip each other apart. We can do the ripping when SHTF.

Of course not, but all these trolls are more than just a little irritating.

Not as irritating as no one in position to actually do something even taking a look at the issue. I just don't understand what would be the problem with getting a copy of the BC and/or looking into the meaning of "Natural Born Citizen" on the merits?

The stakes could not be higher or the effort much less.

Besides, I agree about Rush. He's an entertainer. Useful, helpful, basically a Good Guy, but at base an infotainer.

Also, don’t back down from your high standards and expectations. Rush could do much much more. He has the audience but he neglects opportunity. This country has never been so rich in violations against our Constitution and nor such grave danger from within.

“The stakes could not be higher or the effort much less.”

I agree. That bHussien0 birth certificate, terrorist friends and incredible list of suspicious connections has all been swept under the rug by all branches of government and all parties means that the problem is far worse than any of us (but the tin foil hat people) can imagine. It is so frustrating to know that our government is sabotaging itself and totally outside of the law. Pray as hard and fast as you can go.
Behold, the devil incarnate.
