‘Go to hell, creationists!’ (Evo tolerance in action)
CMI ^ | December 30, 2008 | Carl Wieland

Posted on 12/30/2008 3:42:31 PM PST by GodGunsGuts

Information scientist, author and evangelist, Dr Werner Gitt, a close friend of CMI, told us that on 23 October 2008 he was subjected to the most strident opposition he had ever encountered...

lmao.

Here's a phunnie blog: Tweaking the Randroids

"You have erred, Anonymous, as have you, Don. But such is common for people who are caught up in the worst of Ayn Rand's silly philosophical blatherings. "Anonymous" strikes me as a particularly typical, boring, run-of-the-mill novice Randroid, predictable beyond belief and arrogant to the point of causing me to laugh out loud. To presume that someone who disagrees with Ayn Rand's philosophy simply doesn't understand it is the titanic arrogance that spending too much time reading that woman's obsessive and ultimately irrational philosophy tends to breed."

Hold your breath.

I’m not answering the idiotic question because it has nothing to do with the conversation at hand.

And I work on computers, how could I be a luddite?

Because you don't believe their fantasies about knuckle-dragging ape-men. Those who don't believe in tree-swinging semi-humans are also irreconcilably opposed to progress, science, and rational thought. You might as well quit working on computers right now. There's no way you can possibly contribute to human progress until you believe in ape-men.

OK, one good question deserves another.

Speaking of questions one refuses to answer.....

Do you believe that a human embryo is a human being?

That shouldn’t be too hard to determine using science.

Life doesn't "pop" into existence.

Then where did the first living cell come from and how did it get here?

If you represent Conservatism and/or Republicanism, I may have to - for the first time in my life - reconsider my party affiliation.

You may need to reconsider anyway if you don't believe that a human embryo is a human being.

Intellectual elitism is not conservativism. Morals are conservativism. Intelligence is no guarantee of moral character. There have been too many examples of brilliant people who have been morally bankrupt.

If you don't hold to moral standards, the conservative party is not for you.

I have noticed that those who say evolution is wrong - evil - whatever have absolutely no problem using the products of evolutionary research to help keep themselves healthy

Yes, of course Ernst Haeckel invented vitamins.

By the way, how about that Soliton thread, eh? Have you seen it? It's right here: Soliton signing out!. Imagine that. Ten years of blathering about atheism and evolution, and it all ends so... well... pathetically... with your buddy Soliton getting himself banned somehow around Dec.26 or 27. Which is, curiously, just a couple days before you signed up.

So, what do you think of the Shroud of Turin?

Buy a clue, there's a difference between morally wrong -evil- and false.

What products specifically based on evolutionary research would that be?

The evo-cultists think they and they alone get to define science, and are some sort of self-appointed gate-keepers of what is or isn't science, what should or should not influence science, and so on.

Heck, they think that they alone get to define ANYTHING. I was told to back away from the dictionary when I corrected someone about what a Luddite was.

Back away from the dictionary? From people who pride themselves in precision of terms?

Let's roll. I want an answer. I will demand an answer from every Creationist and supporter of Intelligent Design from now on - BEFORE any and all discussion of evolution.

Anyone that believes the sun orbits the earth has no business discussing science on ANY level.

So what field of science is your degree in? Should you not have a degree in evolution, or science at least, if you're going to debate for evolution?

My degree is pretty obvious. Think about it.

There's an atheist-evolutionist here on FR who believes just that. And boy-o-boy does he like to talk about science.

The Shroud of Turin? I haven’t researched the issue so I do not have an opinion on that artifact at the present time.

Did you check out the Soliton thread? What do you think? Pathetic display of adolescent atheism, wasn't it?

I have not. I would like to say that the side that you appear to associate yourself with doesn’t behave much better.
