‘Go to hell, creationists!’ (Evo tolerance in action)
CMI ^ | December 30, 2008 | Carl Wieland

Posted on 12/30/2008 3:42:31 PM PST by GodGunsGuts

Information scientist, author and evangelist, Dr Werner Gitt, a close friend of CMI, told us that on 23 October 2008 he was subjected to the most strident opposition he had ever encountered...

For an atheistic view of evolution to occur, life begins at the big bang. Life can not begin to evolve, if it is not started (or created).

I do not think so - do you have a link?

So, again, I take you to the big bang theory that can not be observed.

First, Darwin addressed the origin of species. Not the origin of the universe or even the origin of life. Those are three very different things.

Second, do you have a better scientific explanation for the observed universe than what is generally accepted among the scientific community?

You know as well as I do that “On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life” doesn’t cover how life started.

It is rather disingenuous for your to imply it does.

My bad. I re-read my post. I should have stated evolutionist, not Darwin when I said, "I want a point to be made that Darwin tried to theorize how the universe evolved."

There are evolutionist that begin at the big bang. Life can grow or evolve, what ever you want to call it, but life must begin somewhere and Science says life can not come from death.

I am not going to convince you and you are not going to convicne me. We are both working on a belief.

Science says life can not come from death.

No afterlife, but we are made of 'dead' stars.

Why is it called theory of evolution?

Could it be because it is not proved and it is a belief?

I kinda like the idea of being created in the image of God. Makes me feel a lot bigger then a star.

If science doesn’t have any theories about life’s origins, then why to they try to sue into silence anyone else who does?

Since they don’t have one no one else is allowed to either?

Why is it that they don’t have one, but go on to tell us that we’re wrong, that it’s mythology, fairy tales, bronze age goat herder folklore.

We’re wrong based on exactly what criteria?

Because it is a scientific theory.

Well there’s origin of species and origins of life, but it all began somewhere and there’s a connection somewhere... somehow...

what’s pretentious and disingenuous is arguing that there should be some wall between them.

You’re beginning to worry me about attaining cult status and so early on too!

tsk tsk!

What scientific theories have scientists sued into silence?

Yet you are willing to put a wall between macro/micro evolution.

Very interesting.

Apples and oranges. You’re not even comparing the same thing.

Atoms are matter, detectable by the scientific method.

Evolution is a process, presumed to have happened through deduction.

There’s a difference between detecting matter and deducing a process.
