‘Go to hell, creationists!’ (Evo tolerance in action)
CMI ^ | December 30, 2008 | Carl Wieland

Posted on 12/30/2008 3:42:31 PM PST by GodGunsGuts

Information scientist, author and evangelist, Dr Werner Gitt, a close friend of CMI, told us that on 23 October 2008 he was subjected to the most strident opposition he had ever encountered...

You just shot yourself in the foot.

Do better! :)

The Theory of Evolution and tolerance have nothing to do with each other.

Assuming they do makes as much sense as saying The General Theory of Relativity and tolerance are, somehow, related.

Science doesn't - at least, it shouldn't - tolerate nonsense.

Well, then, science and tolerance don’t have anything to do with each other either, so science can’t not tolerate anything.

Besides, *evo tolerance* isn’t about the theory....

Besides, *evo tolerance* isn’t about the theory....

It's about getting your beliefs taught as science or, at the very least, as an acceptable alternative explanation for life on earth.

Anyone that stands in opposition to such is "intolerant" or practicing "scientism".

We get it.

It doesn't change the fact, however, that science is science and the Evil Atheist Conspiracy is winning. :P

Not sure I agree with the second part of that sentence.

http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Evil_Atheist_Conspiracy

The Evil Atheist Conspiracy is a shadowy, diabolic organization of the worshippers of Athe that has infiltrated all the world's power structures and is gradually tightening its hold in preparation for the day when it will strike, conquer the planet for itself and wipe out all things good, right and holy once and for all. They will kill babies too! Some people have questioned the existence of the EAC because atheists seem to be a minority with no power or control over anything, but they would say that, wouldn't they! The almost universal disdain for atheists worldwide shows they are just as cunning as Jews: they secretly control the world while universaly persecuting themselves. That's right.

I recalled you posting that before, but felt you were saying (in an amusing way) that the atheists were winning. If you were just teasing her, then, well, my bad.

Well, the EAC is a joke.

I do think that evolution is kickin’ Creationism’s butt across the globe and, sadly, America is an aberration.

Eventually, I believe and hope, most Christians in America will accept God as the ultimate Creator and embrace evolution as the tool/method He used.

There will always remain a fringe that demand a literal reading of the Bible, but they will continue to shrink.

Yeah, I knew the EAC was a joke. ;) I just couldn’t tell how you were using it.

If you were saying that atheism proper was winning, then I was going to disagree. But you’ve cleared it up. Thanks, bro.

The EAC has many tentacles... ;)

First, we start with evolution. After we've convinced the majority of the world that they are nothing more than soulless chunks of matter, we'll move on to the deathc--oops! I mean, cupcakes!

After evolution comes cupcakes. :)

In all honesty, I don't expect any form of atheism to "win" for a long time. Over the next couple of centuries, religion - Christianity and Islam - will soften and focus on 'matters of the soul and spirit'.

I could be completely wrong about this, but I suspect what will eventually happen is a blending of the Abrahamic religions, Buddhism, the rest of the faiths and existentialism.

So long as you don't try to probe me with your noodly appe.... yikes, what a visual, I can't even finish the joke! ;)

Buttercream, please

Hopefully Islam will enter the modern world.

Eventually, I believe and hope, most Christians in America will accept God as the ultimate Creator and embrace evolution as the tool/method He used.

Even Darwin would not accept this. If people actually read and understood the words of Darwin there would be no theory of evolution today.

Darwin stated that for evolution to occur, life must begin simple and then evolve to the complex. Life does not begin simple. Darwin would recognize this today. Many scientist recognize this today. If a cell was blown up to the human scale it would be about seven blocks big and hold nine 'factories' inside. Each factory would produce something different and it gets its instructions from DNA. I worked for a business who mapped the DNA structure of the human being. They used nine different HP 9000 servers that do the work of thousands of men (or woman to be PC). It took those servers three and a half years to map the DNA structure. If Darwin were to see this, he would say that it is the signature of God. Again, Darwin said that life must begin simple and then move to the complex, otherwise you will see the signature of the creator. Now, lets say life began simple. Why wouldn't some kind of new life pop up before my very eyes? Why wouldn't all kinds of life pop up at any moment anywhere? My only answer is that life does not begin simple like Darwin demanded of evolution.

How do you know that evolution is the tool He used? Did He tell you something different than what He told everyone else through the Bible? What other source did God use to tell you this?

There will always remain a fringe that demand a literal reading of the Bible, but they will continue to shrink.

Please provide references to show us who demands that the Bible be read literally. What group is that?

How do you explain the many scientists that I know who are both Christian and believe evolution is the best current answer for the diversity of life on this planet?

Re-read what I said, Metmom. The phrase you should pay close attention to is, "I believe and hope".

You do yourself a disservice by denying that there are literalist Christians.
