The Unit, Play 16 (Respect for Military)

I was surprised by the respect for a fallen team member (military) in tonights repeat episode (2007) of "The Unit" (Play 16).

I didn't see this episode or mention of it using search (FR/other search).

I was surprised with the content of the episode.

There was respect for the fallen team member and some insight of the 'private' honor that is given to them by their surviving team members.

I believe there was also some (fill in your own) about "journalists" in a 'combat' situation.

I've watched the show intermittently and know little of the writers/others politics. I must give credit for this episode (for what I saw), whether it was intended or not... (fill me in if I missed something).

Thank you and God Bless our Military.

(I also hope that this is properly placed in the forum...)

TU is one of the few bright spots on television, in my opinion. They rarely venture into political correctness. They generally just portray dedicated men and women who will sacrifice all for the good of their country. Seasons 1-3 out on DVD. I highly recommend them. I hope that the show lasts a few more seasons despite the schedule change.

Thank you for the reply and recommendation.
I, unfortunately have ADA (whatever the current affliction is called)— I get distracted easily and am constantly seeking new things (inane curiosity perhaps and not needing of a medical term nor cure), so that along with previous boxes of unviewed video tapes, I don’t buy many DVDs.

I would hope that this and other similar shows would be rebroadcast after the 11:59 PM hour. (I tend to be a late night person)

It certainly wouldn’t hurt for the younger generation to view this at this time of night either. (they’re up too)

It certainly surpasses Conan rebroadcasts and the others who are on before. I also don’t do cable or SAT anymore. There are books and the ‘net. (I’m a Jack Paar, Johnny Carson “late night snob”, or so I’ve been told).

Guess I drifted off topic too, sorry. Or, maybe not. Depends upon one’s upbringing and values.

Thanks again.
