Sorry Barry, you've got to stay with the girl who brought you to the dance. You couldn't have been elected without the press on your side, now they expect to stand by your side . . . 24/7.
From Politico.
The media glare, the constant security appendage and the sheer production that has become a morning jog or a hankering for an ice cream cone its been closing in on Barack Obama for some time. Now the president-elect appears increasingly conscious of the confines of his new position, bristling at the routine demands of press coverage and beginning to chafe at boundaries that are only going to get smaller.
Obama even took the unusual step Friday morning of leaving behind the pool of reporters assigned to follow him, taking his daughters to a nearby water park without them. It was a breach of longstanding protocol between presidents (or presidents-elect) and the media, that a gaggle of reporters representing television, print and wire services is with his motorcade at all times.
And by the sounds of that, the press is getting a little surly with Obama. They are reporters, for crying out loud, there are longstanding protocols to be followed. And if Barry chooses not to follow the rules, reporters start writing stories about what a whiny cupcake he is about overbearing press coverage.

I remember Clinton whining about the constant press attention. He adjusted nicely and then he discovered the interns.
As I have said in the past, this next four years would be entertaining if it weren’t so sad and dangerous.
It is never too late to quit 0bama..........
“He adjusted nicely and then he discovered the interns.”
I think the Dalibama is coming to the realization that he won’t be free to bang his groupies. He might have workout even more.
Somebody just needs to get Barry a nice hot cup of STFU.
Based on the lack of pressure in life (the law school, the community organizer, the lame state representative who never got more than six interviews a year, even the “senator-in-a-suit” episode that got almost no attention...this guy has skipped out on what most of us would say are the pressure points in life. He has no pressure valve and I doubt he really could grasp what the job involves.
We will eventually note a “twitch” and very limited press access unless its totally staged. I don’t think he will make any major foreign public appearances after spring of 2010...because of the twitch.
He’ll make quarterly trips to Hawaii for two weeks at a whack....to rest. Whatever mental issues he had before...will simply be magnified and no amount of medication can carry a guy in a job like this. I think he signed up for something that he really can’t do. His life was a stage with a chance to leave each night before...now, he can’t leave the stage for four years...and maybe eight. I think he’s screwed up big-time.
not to worry , Biden’s there for back-up! All we have to worry about there is Alzheimer’s.
Don’t forget to feed your Kitties Obama.
oh, and the personality disorder.
He's like a dog who chases after cars. What does the dog do if he catches the car?
Barry husled himself right inot a gilded cage
But a gilded cage is still a cage.
Too bad so sad now all his associates will be known to the Secret Service, that might tighten the supply of blow and speed and smokly dokly
The idiot is to confused to do anything right now he’s waiting for instructions from ACORN.
So what is Michele going to do?
imho I don’t think she can handle the diverse opportunities the position of the FirstLady offers.
She had a hard time @ SidleyAustin with the BARNEY account, again, just my humble opinion
Waaaaaa, the press is picking on me
Can I commit sacrilege and say that regardless of the president’s party or ideology it’s well past time to ditch the WH press corps? They are the very definition of parasites.
Both the president and the public can do without more drivel from Terry Moran, Helen Thomas (no pics please), Carl Gregory and Claire Shipman. This isn’t 1920 and we don’t need this newspaper or that network’s “man in the White House” to give us their special blend of 5% information and 95% bias.
The phrase "Eight years of failed Bush policies" keeps coming to mind.
I am looking forward to that mantra of his biting him in the ass.
He is already (hopefully) seeing what a tough gig this coronation will be.
I'm gonna hold my breath until they write that.
Your comment sounds interesting, but I don’t follow. What’s the back story?
Bambi, Bambi? If you don’t like the job that you haven’t even started all you have to do is show us the vault copy of your BC!
