Based on the lack of pressure in life (the law school, the community organizer, the lame state representative who never got more than six interviews a year, even the “senator-in-a-suit” episode that got almost no attention...this guy has skipped out on what most of us would say are the pressure points in life. He has no pressure valve and I doubt he really could grasp what the job involves.

We will eventually note a “twitch” and very limited press access unless its totally staged. I don’t think he will make any major foreign public appearances after spring of 2010...because of the twitch.

He’ll make quarterly trips to Hawaii for two weeks at a whack....to rest. Whatever mental issues he had before...will simply be magnified and no amount of medication can carry a guy in a job like this. I think he signed up for something that he really can’t do. His life was a stage with a chance to leave each night before...now, he can’t leave the stage for four years...and maybe eight. I think he’s screwed up big-time.

He's like a dog who chases after cars. What does the dog do if he catches the car?

You have distilled quite nicely what many of us have observed about Barry.
The man is a product of a pathologically dysfunctional family.
His autobiographies are teeming with rage at his mother and grandparents.
He’s used drugs , alcohol and extreme withdrawal both in high school and college
to try and cope with his anger, alienation and abandonment issues.
He’s never been challenged to succeed and failure has always been an accepted option.
Obama is supremely unequipped emotionally, mentally and physically for the pressures
and demands of the world’s most stressful job.
His tenure could be a calamity of epic proportions.

From a FR September 06, 2008 topic
Obama’s ‘Present’ Voting Called Into Question by Palin, Others

From http://www.enterprisemission.com/Chandra-NASA-Accusation.htm

What made all this really special was the fact that the same source also said (and in this same phone call ...) that both presidential campaigns — McCain’s and Obama’s — had just had similar briefings (part of the normal “national security” procedures for every about-to-be-elected president). And that McCain (because of his 26 years of Senate Armed Services and Intelligence Committtee experience ...) already knew most of what the briefing told him. The problem (so I was, again, “informed” ...) was with Obama:

He didn’t know whether to believe the briefing!

Obama’s major concern (according to this phone call) — given the mind-blowing, “history-changing” nature of the information (for most Americans ...) — was that he was being “gamed” by the Bush White House ... in a (literal) “mind-blowing attempt to set him up” ... for some kind of “credibility problem” in the campaign later on!

That report when first published might have been looked at with a bit of skepticism but is the evidence mounting now so much that the cracks can’t be ignored?

On the other hand, maybe his fragile psyche was the reason he was chosen.

I’ve made that same point in a number of different ways on other threads.

So far, he’s managed to skate out of making any really hard calls. Anything remotely controversial he ducked either by skipping the vote or voting “present”.

Well Baby-Barry’s going to have to learn that you can’t vote “present” as President. Presidents get nothing but the hard calls. That’s pretty much the definition of the job, when you get right down to it.

After all. If it’s an easy decision to make, he’ll never see it. It gets handled at a lower level.

I don’t think he can do it. If he thinks he’s just going to be able to rule by decree, accept adulation at his whim and be left alone the rest of the time, he’s going to be very very disappointed.

I predict he resigns in less than a year.
