The United Autoworkers Union, which had a total net worth of $1.2 billion in 2007, owns a $27 million resort and conference center that features a $6 million upscale golf course, according to financial statements on file with the U.S. Department of Labor.
The retreat, called the Walter and May Reuther Family Education Center, is located on Black Lake in Onaway, Michigan. The union-owned retreat includes the Black Lake Golf Club, valued at $6 million according to the financial statement.

They need to sell it and give the money to the auto companies to keep their companies and cash call solvent. They need to be part of the solution and stop being part of the problem.
Their “net worth” omits the value of the UAW retirement fund. They should have bought GM, and been done with it.
Proposed solution - “Here, UAW - you make it pay. Or not.”
I hate to say it....but these golf resort clubs typically make a profit and turn it back to the investment organization. I see that in Alabama and Mississippi. I would be curious about the occupancy rate of this place...but if you forced them to open the books...you might find that they run a decent place which returns money.
Nope! Everything the UAW touches turns to ... well, it ain't gold.
