Someone please explain to me the intricacies of mens wallets. The QC needs a new one, and Max wants one of his very own for Christmas (a REAL leather one, please); so off I went in search of the same. Nordstroms had some that looked just like wallets for $98, while Kohls had some that looked just like wallets for $25 (on sale for $15). Upon close examination, I observed that some are slim; some are tri-fold (others bifold), and some have extra capacity. I punted and bought several varieties from which the QC may choose. Max is being given no choicehe gets a bifold slimline one for $15.
I guess my befuddlement with mens wallets matches mens puzzlement with womens accessories. My husband is far beyond trying to figure out my love affair with shoes; he even sometimes helps me figure out which pair to wear in the morning.

I started out with bifolds but found the trifolds to be less bulky and I’ve used tri-folds for probably 25 years.
I like bi-fold and thin. Most men dont carry a lot of pictures , but it has to have a pocket for cards. It takes about two years for it to fit your butt so buy a good quality.
Not if they have ex-wives!
My back got better when I quit sitting on my Costanza wallet.
Caliber, usually.
I don’t carry a wallet. I keep my stuff locked in the glove box of the truck. I keep money in my pocket where I can keep an eye on it.
Had one of those circular impressions thirty-five years ago. Today, as well, but it’s a Pepcid...
Mine is literally falling apart.(the wallet)
“so that means thinner high quality leather”
At first glance, I read this as “inner thigh quality leather.”
Man, it’s been a long and brutal day...
Thanks for collecting that clip. ;-)

But no back pocket stuff for me, here in NY, you keep your wallet in a front pocket!
It depends on what I think I will need. I think I'm sold on my latest set-up now though. I simplified down to a money clip over the clear plastic 10pocket card holder with a few cards loose under the wad of cash carried in my front pocket. Before that I was partial to a bill fold bifold that was the same size as my back jean pocket. It was a bit of a pain to get out but the form fitting size was comfortable for back carry.
I’m a fan of the WhenWeAreQueen blog. Happy to see it getting play on freerepublic.
My wife buys me the tri-folds from Nordstroms. I like them as they wear well for about 3 years. I carry loads of licenses and cards so I need the extra space.
I would NEVER give shoes as a gift, anyway. They are EXTREMELY dependent on foot size and shape; 1 wrong feature and you’re cramping majorly. Shoes are a bad gift. Always buy your own shoes, never sight unseen (or feeling unfelt).
You must be single you have money in your wallet! ;-)
