actually diet coke can make you fatter as it has no calories and can trick the body into thinking its starving, which increases hunger.

What's the next food or drink that's gonna be slapped with the "Obesity Tax"?
It's the start of a long slippery slope.

Except my observations have shown that is usually FAT people drinking diet colas.
And, some basis to that, since some studies have shown the artificial sweeteners SLOW a body’s metabolism.
But, Bring it on, I LOVE NANNYISM.

"Obesity Tax"
That's discrimination.
WHY do I, who am UNDERWEIGHT have to pay MORE now? I need all the calories and fattening agents I can get my hands on. Why do I have to suffer?

Drinking a lot of sugary soda is terrible for the human body and will make you fat.
Doesn't mean I want government trying to control whether people drink it or not and how much.

Apparently Bloomie knows nothing about fat peoples' eating habits. First they load up their plates with everything fattening on the menu/buffet and then they order a diet coke.
And, doesn't this moron know that aspertine (artificial sweetener) is not good for your health... not to mention all the sodium in diet drinks.
