True, but there’s a difference between “standing for” a principle (refusing to change our opinion on it) and actively fighting for it. Maybe in the nuanced thinking of liberals and other crypto-new agers, there is.

It is impossible for you to actively fight for everything you believe in. Does the fact that you have to pick your battles mean you don’t really believe in the things you don’t actively fight for?
