I mean it this time, goodnight!
Christmas shopping? It’s only December 8th!
My favorite gift I bought was a leg lamp--from "A Christmas Story." S & H on that was $35--that's why I started looking for free shipping!
Most of mine has been toys... I was very pleased with a framed print I ordered from Overstock.

Cadillac Hybrid Escalade, Color: Black, Sound System and Speakers: Bang and Olufsen and to top it off: Onstar./Just Asking - seoul62......
I recommend Sony cameras. We've had Kodak, GE, Samsung, all FAR inferior to the Sony. I also tried a Nikon this time - never used a digital camera from them. We'll see how it does.
I despise long lines and full stores, and, well, shopping in general. I don't see how you ladies enjoy shopping.
Just thought you might like this thread.
Stocking stuffer for the BBQ’er in your life: Target has a neat light that attaches to your grill. ($15 I think)
(I’ll be so embarrassed to find out we’re the only people that end up grilling in the dark...)
Right now, our entire family, has all agreed to pare down the materialistic part, give one or two nicer gifts, and focus more on spending quality family time together. We've planned a nice Christmas Eve dinner, complete with "Secret Santa" game & devotions, a Christmas day brunch, and so on.
It will be nice to reconnect with the family on a more intimate level.
One other thing I came up with is a "coupon swap". Each extended family member with a particular skill or talent will offer their services to another family via a homemade "coupon". For example, my aunt loves to paint, and she is very good at faux finishes. My bedroom needs a good makeover, and I cannot afford to hire a professional painter who specializes in faux finishes. She is giving me a "coupon" good for one paint job in my bedroom. I am good at organization, and she isn't. I'm giving her a "coupon" good for a day or so of coming in and organizing her cabinets and closets. And so on and so on for the rest of the gang. This way we do for each other needful things, enjoy each other's company, and the cost is relatively low or nonexistent. Another plus is these services will be done with love, and will have meaning to the recipient. Another benefit of this is no standing in long return lines to exchange those unwanted gifts.
I was just over at the Amazon site, and noticed that their top-selling (no. 1) wall calendar is that “SARAH PALIN” one, which had popped up in the news a few weeks back. That might make a nifty gift, although if I purchase one, I’ll almost assuredly keep it for myself!
Christmas is always a surprize ... there's nothing hidden to discover.
You'd be amazed what you can get for 50-70% off that only needs a wire reconnected or a drop of super glue.
Tools are always the same, appliances etc ... so the only thing you need to shop early for is that newest, latest beta whatever.
Deni Bella Stone Surface Pizza Oven
I was able to do that one year. Had everything purchased and wrapped and under the tree before December 1st.
It was a fluke. :)
I plan to get the majority of my Christmas shopping done over the next week.
My best gift idea this year? This is for the ladies: I finally realized that if I wanted some really good junk for Christmas, I was going to have to tell my husband EXACTLY what I wanted! So I did, and ended up actually having to order the darned thing myself. But I’m going to make him wrap it when it arrives! LOL!
(I know someone will ask so I’ll tell you what my big gift is: a “butler” clock from Solutions that wakes you up with birdsong and a recorded “butler” announcement by Stephen Fry [Jeeves of Jeeves & Wooster]. This is an incredibly fluffy, ridiculous item to even want, but if I can’t have a real butler, I guess I can have a butler clock! :)
Tapped out. King Vanity did his yearly calander of himself and others.
Got a good shot sent to us by a then unknown to us person of KV and Bill Clinton with Bills and him laughing and Bill hand reaching across on to his shoulder.
Got some other good pics of comedians w/him that he enjoys.
And some others that help out unconditionally to keep his life thriving well.
I bought him a LLBean Gift cert o he can hit the after Christmas deals via the clearance book.
I also bought him a lifesize cardboard President elect Obama to dress up in silly ways.
He is going for the first time to a local jewelry store with an assistant ....my my he is maturing good son.
We have more so enjoyed are lifelong ornaments and he is picking up his Flocked live tree which he decorates in all Marine Life per his 2yrs he spent at Marine Science lectures at OSU.
Dog got a few goods but more than all the gifts....we have been enjoying family interaction.
I did Karoake with the life size santa and mic but was booed off stage when I attempted Ava Maria.
Both my daughter and son love Webkinz.
For about $10, you get a cute stuffed animal and a login password into webkinz world, where they play games and earn webkinz cash and spend it on decorating their own webkinz house. It’s fun for them.
