THis is from 8 years ago.
“This is from 8 years ago...”
That depends on when ‘July 243’ was...
;^)
yes it is, but still, its an Interesting hearing on changing the constitution.
By reading this , I now know what some of the arguments
the “OBOTS” will use to continue calling me a right wing loon, and I shall have a prepared defense to yell back at them.
Did you notice it was gasbag Barney Franks that introduced this? If this weren’t dated 2000 I would suspect he had the Obamination in mind.
Actually, Barney was influenced by Raimundo Delgado, the man who wants to clear a path for Schwartzenegger to be President.
Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) has proposed to amend the Constitution to allow naturalized Americans to become President. If his amendment were adopted any person who had been a United States citizen for at least twenty years would be eligible to hold the Presidency. This is not a new idea. However, Senator Hatch’s proposed amendment places emphasis on contemporary political leaders who otherwise never would be eligible to become President.

No statute can change the Constitution. LoL!
