So the good news is that Saxby Chambliss has helped our nation stave off total democratic hegemony in Congress. The concern on the right has been that with the Presidency and both houses controlled by Democrats, a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate would have been the brick on the gas pedal in the national drag race to see who can get taken care of more by the government.
The other good news is that Sen. Chambliss won his reelection resoundingly. Just 5 weeks after the GOP was handed its most devastating defeat in a generation, Chambliss ran away with one in what was, on Nov 4, a very competitive state. How was it even possible that Chambliss could pull it off? After all, on Nov 4 he had the benefit of McCain at the top of the ticket, a man who, we were told, could appeal to the undecided, moderate, majority. Yet without McCain's lead, and with the likes of Sarah Palin campaigning for him, he won by 14 points in a state that McCain carried only by 5.

I really like Palin, she has 2.5 - 3 years to learn foreign affairs...I also like Jindal...

one reason might be she’s a populist. populists threaten the elites.
I think respect is the key: honor all 3 legs of the stool: national security, fiscal responsibility, and preservation of traditional values-don’t treat any one as more important than the other-all equal; then add a 4th leg to the stool: liberatarianism. And then incorporate them all under one umbrella or tent with Sarah Palin or a like-minded conservative at the helm ready to weigh anchor and nail their colors to the mast.
She’s a good, Godly woman.

Or those who attack Tiger Woods because he is too good. Superstars, like Sarah, are labelled such by the public because they perform deeds that ‘ordinary mortals’ cannot do or accomplish. For Sarah to tip the balance from a 5 point to a 15 point race based on a whirlwind one day visit to a state you have little background in is remarkable akin to Tiger’s performance on the third day of the 2008 US Open where he made two eagles and chipped in for a birdie on the back 9.
