"I think it was a repudiation of Republicans," Bush said during an interview with ABC News that aired Monday. "And I'm sure some people voted for Barack Obama because of me."

I thank you for your service and wish you Godspeed, Mr. President.

But this election was a repudiation of YOU and your allies in the Republican party.

Own it, Sir.

the election was a repudiation of BUSH.

And if Bush is going to be doing media tours he might consider that he is about 3 years too late to do any good. The time to defend his own adminstration and his policies was after his last re-election. That he has refused to fight for himself or anybody who was putting his career or his/her life on the line to enact Bush policies is an unforgivable sin. Bush cost us the House and Senate and he cost the GOP his election as well (although I’m not sad that McCain isn’t going to be Prez since he was a tool as well).

Bush should STFU. His “new tone” was repudiated. He has severely damaged Conservatism. Stop the babbling Bush. The left and MSM will never like you. Do all us Conservatives a favor and just STFU and go away quietly. It will take years to undo this babbling soul cleansing. STFU!

The Bush name is synonymous with Rockefeller Republicanism. If Jeb Bush is nominated I WILL VOTE 3RD PARTY!

"I think it was a repudiation of Republicans," Bush said

And who was the de facto leader of the party? GW Bush.

Jorge El Segundo - a comic right to the end. But his material has gone pretty stale.

If it WAS a repudiation of the Republican Party, it was a repudiation of the individual who was the titular head of the Republican Party and the actions of its leadership in failing to confront a defective President. It was not a repudiation of the basic tenets of the Republican Party as understood by its base. The RNC leadership and titular figurehead had drifted far from its base. And without the support of your base a party goes nowhere.

“McCain's choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate helped him, Bush said, because it “energized the party.”

It “energized the party” Jorge, because she walks the talk and her talk is basic patriotic oncservativism, not one-world pandering to globalist corporate elites, Arab oil states, or a third world border nation like Mexico.
