I believe this all makes FR look foolish. This is the sort of thing that we denigrate and make fun of when the other side does it.

I agree. The Republican governor (and Sarah Palin pal) sealed the birth certificate... probably to avoid any accusation of improper conduct, but someone would have to explain why SHE was in on the coverup. This is the sort of thing that "losers" focus on.. better to focus on the big FDR/socialist revolution that's about to happen unless the Repubs grow a spine and become a real opposition party.

I disagree. Hawaii has laws regarding the ability of individuals to acquire birth certificates. These laws must be respected. The "accidental leak" of embarrassing materials in violation of these laws would make FR and all other conservative folks look foolish. Being driven by agenda in violation of the law is not the image conservatives want to have. Save that for the other side. The side effect of the governor's actions is also to preserve a legitimate an unaltered copy; which may have tremendous value later on. But ... like I've said in other posts ... the real crime is the uncontested dual-citizenship. The birth certificate is interesting, but the dual-citizenship case is entirely winnable.

Why do you think she has to explain anything to us? The govt does lots of stuff, that they don’t explain to us, or feel the need to.
