That’s the problem. And it’s why pursuing this issue with respect to President-elect Obama is a waste of time. The biggest problem isn’t the “natural born citizen” definition (though that is somewhat vague), but the standard of proof. Beyond reasonable doubt? Preponderance of the evidence? Does information provided by foreign governments trump information provided by US federal or state governments? These details should be worked out in a piece legislation to be effective going forward, so it will have plenty of time to go through any legal challenges. But as for Barack Obama, he’s going to President for the next 4 years, and we shouldn’t be distracted by this side issue.
Yeah, and the Stamp Act was just a "side issue" too.
