Party rebuilding time: Who would you propose as future leaders?

Who do you believe the leaders of the future should be? Extra credit, explain why the person merits our support. For double-secret credit, who has worn out their welcome and should be shown the door?

On my short list I have Tom Coburn, Jeb Hensarling, Paul Ryan and Mike Pence. The long list has a ton of prospects from the farm team. And damn you Dick Armey - come back! We need you.

My "adios amigos, don't let the door hit ya" list has McCain, Lindsey Graham, Bill Kristol, Alan Specter (like he needs anyone to push him), and David Brooks. Reluctantly, I kept this list short. The intertubes do not have the bandwidth to handle the posting of this magnitude.

Of that list I have to say Paul Ryan. I do not know about the others, however Paul Ryan is just darn smart is on solid committees and he is a spot on real conservative with traditional platform with the future in mind. Solid and fantastic. I think his website is www.americanroadmap.org. Check it out.

The GOP has moved too far to the socialist left to ever value conservative principles in the future. The party has been gradually merging its ideology with the socialist Democrats in order to expand the GOP voter base to the point they are essentially one party. The only alternative for Conservatives is to form their own party to restore the two party system.

Oh and no I am not a person who works for him or on his staff etc. I am just some young conservative in Cali-fornia wanting real conservatives leading our party forward. I wrote down his website after hearing him speak on tv and I like him. Newt likes him too. :-)

Also Palin (a given), Jindal (of course), Pawlenty, Michael Steele would be great as chair for the RNC.

Toss the incumbents out and lets start fresh. I hear KBH is going to resign the senate and run for Gov here in TX. I hope local party leaders are smart enough to retire her instead. I can’t believe we keep recycling the same crap that we do. We need fresh talent.

Amen. Every time I hear KBH defended the only voice that pops into my head is the diva Madame Peggy Noonan. I never trusted that woman. And KBH is cut from the same cloth.

We definitely need star power.

On that note, I’m sure this thread is being heavily monitored, and I don’t mean by DU. LOL
