Look, I have no problem with Savage being on the air, and I do not want to limit the rights of anybody, even guys who sound like nutjobs to be on the air. I'm just saying that he frequently makes comments that make him sound like a hatemonger/nutjob.
Actually, I do not really think Savage is a nutjob. I think he is a con artist who plays to an audience (which apparently includes you) who enjoys listening to his ravings. Again, I do not advocate censoring him. Saying that he gives talk radio a bad name does not mean I want to "throw him under the bus". Unfortunately, guys like Savage force one to have to apologize for talk radio in general.

I personally don’t listen to or like Savage but to say he gives talk radio a bad name is nonsense. I do not apologize for talk radio ever, no matter who it is. Savage may sound like a nutjob but he certainly isn’t a hatemonger.

I think he is a con artist who plays to an audience (which apparently includes you) who enjoys listening to his ravings. That's quite a leap in logic to assume that anyone who defends Savage's first amendment right to be a nutjob must then be a Savage fan.
Whatever happened to "I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it?"

Whatever will we do the the Wackos who promote and listen to “Coast to Coast AM”. They blame everything on Bush and a world shadow government that he is part of; the “Skull and Crossbones” society; believe that the Pyramids where built by extraterestials; that the transistor was “back engineered” from items found at the crashes of UFOs.
It is called alternative radio, maybe the conservative talk show hosts can use that appellation and just say they are channeling with the universe, kinda like Hillary did with Eleanor R.

I know what you were trying to say. I agree for the most part, too.
