In today's Politickle Video, Presidential candidate John Smith explains how consensus works:

"In a democracy like the United States, government is based on majority rule. But what if you're in the minority? That's a real bummer. . . ."

Let's get rid of the electoral college, but why stop there? Why not get rid of voting, too? Our Fearless Leader can make all our decisions for us!

"John Smith" is a satire of Obama and other socialist Democrats. As such, he would naturally use the word "democracy" to describe the United States.

Furthermore, the extent to which the U.S. remains a republic rather than a democracy (and these are not antonyms, Welchian mantras notwithstanding) is directly related to the extent to which the Constitution continues to be respected and observed. For instance, allowing a candidate who is not a natural-born American to run for and assume the presidency is a brazen abrogation of the Constitution, to which the vast majority of the American people seem willing to acquiesce.

Here's a vision for the future: Ten years after the U.S. has been converted into a totalitarian socialist state, members of the JBS are still meeting monthly to warn about the impending danger, and to parse words like democracy.

The Constitution protects our freedoms. We must protect the Constitution.

Protect the Constitution
