I went to lunch yesterday to celebrate the birthday of the only other conservative in my office. She’s support staff, I’m a boss. Poor thing, she had to sit at the head of the table, no one talked to her except me and one other person, no one sang, no cake.... and half the office was being driven to the polls for early voting by the most liberal guy in the office. So of course, the talk was of politics and then of religion (bashing mine, attacking divinity of Christ, etc.) I was very uncomfortable and said some things I regret... very mild things but still, I usually choose not to get into an argument I can’t win unless I’m getting paid to do so. So they bashed Sarah and Christ. I’m ashamed to say I did defend Sarah but did not speak up to defend my savior... but I guess he doesn’t really need defending but I could have modeled my faith better. Sigh.
I live in L.A. my husband works for the studios. I know exactly where you are coming from.
I work for the local Boy Scout office. Lot different there.
In the US, people bashing Christians and Christianity usually consider themselves the very model of tolerance and opposed to bigotry. Just ask them to substitute any other religion in their rant, and then listen to themselves. If they have a shred of rationality left, that’ll open their eyes.
At least now you have identified those that need to be let go first in the Obama caused layoffs.
As I have longed maintained here, those two things go hand in hand: I think the #1 factor driving the ultra-leftist moonbats is their absolute HATRED of Christianity, Christians, and traditional moral values.
Geez, why bother? Just take her out to lunch and let the others go their merry, deluded way.
