Two decades ago he still couldn't acknowledge his white grandmother (the one he is investing one day to say happy birthday to) but he did acknowledge someone in Kenya he'd probably never seen or heard from - and probably couldn't pick out of the crowd today.

Obama attended for 8 years, from ‘71 to ‘79.

Isn’t it funny how nobody can get Obama’s biography right? And in this case you have to think that they got their facts from Obama himself. There would have been no reason for them to dig through his school records or whatever. So, at least at first glance, it seems reasonable to conclude that he lied to them to seem more “common man” than he is.
