Unwilling to Have First Black Presidential Loss Laid at His Door, Powell votes Race

It is impossible to comment on the experience of Sarah Palin without looking at the experience of Barak Obama. When one looks, it is also impossible not to see the total lack of executive experience in the resume of Barak Obama. Anyone with half an ounce of political sense knows that is why democrats launched such irrational attacks on the experience of Sarah Palin. It was a diversion from the total lack of experience on the part of Barak Obama.

Being a military man, Colin Powell would understand diversion.

In his concession to BHO, Powell engages in diversion with his comments about justices. What did Roberts and Alito have to do with his endorsement of Barak Obama? Absolutely nothing. Therefore, it was a diversion.

What did it accomplish?

It enabled Powell to discuss some liberal disagreements he had with conservatives rather than discuss Obama's nonexistent executive experience.

Never in a million years would Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Powell, have put an inexperienced Lieutenant, or EVEN an experienced Lieutenant Colonel, in command of an Army Corps. Never. It would not have happened.

Yet, he would promote Obama, a man with zero executive, zero military, and zero business experience, to be Commander in Chief.

Only a fool would not look for another answer to Powell’s peculiar decision. The ONLY rational answer lies in politics and in legacy.

Not wanting to have anyone say in the history books that he voted against Jackie “Obama” Robinson being the first black presidential player, Colin Powell has voted race.

This is the failed Secretary of State Powell, roundly rejected by both conservatives and liberals, and not the General Powell of the first Gulf War. That general Powell had lieutenants in charge of platoons, not of divisions and corps.

Nah. They are all missing it. Obama and Powell are on the Saudis payroll. Powell is tight with the Saudis and where did Obama get $700 million from his campaign? Small donations? From the Middle East?

Everybody - Volunteer & Donate.

Make sure we are all at local McCain HQ helping out with GOTV the weekend before the election. If you are retired - volunteer now. Ignore the polls.

That could certainly be part of the answer.

The Jackie Robinson vote is a large part of the answer.

The Supreme Court justices aren’t just a diversion, imo. Powell is pro-abortion, anti-gun, and pro-affirmative action. Conservative judges are a personal affront to him.

McCain’s campaign logo - Country First

Powell’s endorsement - Race First

Oddly enough I agree with both of us on this one. Powell is a liberal, and that’s why I always said that I wouldn’t support his elevation to a national ticket.

In the context of the Obama endorsement, however, the discussion of justices enabled him NOT to have to discuss the micro-resume of Barak Obama.

Powell fragged his friend McCain just like he put the knife of the back of Scooter Libby.

Sadly, yes.

The “race card.” Don’t leave home without it.

I cannot think of anyone who believes Powell did a good job as Secretary of State. He was bullied by the senior civilians, he never got control of his own department, and he never had the guts to stand up for what he believed in.

He was a failure as a politician.

The Scooter Libby thing is a good example, and you are exactly, 100% correct.

Yes, that's true. I was just pointing out that he's got more than one obvious reason for supporting Osama: Osama is a liberal, *and* he's black. The "experience" question is the true smokescreen, because it's simply false. Osama has less relevant experience than my state representative does.

I guess liberals just can't be honest. Powell could have said, "I'm endorsing Obama because he's pro-abortion and black, and so am I."

I found it ironic that Secretary of State Colin Powell characterized Israel’s attack on the terrorist cell Hamas as “excessive,” “reprehensible,” “highly provocative” and “too aggressive.”

After all, the two men killed in the attack – Hamas leaders Jamal Mansour and Jamal Salim – have been responsible for the deaths of at least 80 Israelis and the wounding of more than 400 in suicide missions and attacks they orchestrated.

In my opinion, the United States ought to be congratulating Israel for the service to mankind, for the restraint showed and for the precision of an attack on a seven-story building that took out only the Hamas offices. Israel has every right to defend itself and its citizens from attack – just as every other nation in the world does.

And Colin Powell knows this. Yet, here’s what he said about the action: “This kind of response is too aggressive and it just serves to increase the level of tension and violence in the region.”

read rest of article, very informative.

I nvere agreed with Powell on many things but that was OK, I have my views and he has is. What turned my opinion from disagreement to disgust was his silence on the the Valerie Plame affair. He knew that Armitage was the guy who released her name and let Fitzgerald go after Scooter Libby for two years without manning up and telling the truth. That is despicable and till the day I die that will be my opinion of General Colin Powell.

LOL.

There is so little experience there. I now know that a community organizer is a guy who offers beer and cigarettes to the homeless so they'll go vote for the democrat.

I see something like that at the ballpark every time I go: Colllld Beeee-ahhhh Heeeee-aahhhh!

Quite frankly, Samuel JOE Wurzellbacher’s endorsement should hold much more weight wih most Americans. Loyalty to principles and relationships is something Powell dismisses in his old age.

Besides, I call yell his middle name JOE JOE JOE JOE JOE without being labelled an evil white-devil islamaphobic racist.

I’M WITH JOE!.. This theme needs to go big very fast... I’M WITH JOE!

Freepers need to spread the word in every place there is a MAC or BO raly. Purchase plungers and make signs in this theme to take to your rallies.
We are all plumbers now that need to unclog the system from impending over-taxation (Socialism) and the legalized ‘theft’ of our hard earned income.

Call to MAC/Palin/Republican campaigns and organize people to go with you.

If you are going to bring a plunger, remember that you can’t bring the stick part into a rally. {So if you are staying outside a BO rally when he comes later this week, that’s fine. ) If you are headed into the rally, you need to replace the stick with rolled corrogated paper carried separately until you’re in the rally.

This theme needs to be the universal cry against Socialism and carries the implicit message of unclogging the “waste’ from the system.

A dozen guys with plungers just freeped outside a BO rally in VA!
Support Joe, the first average Joe to stand up to the tyranny of neo-Marxism! Also, Phil the bricklayer signs showed up at a Palin rally. (Can anyone say—> Bob the Builder!)

JOE could obtain security clearance to be a White House plumber. Could barack, with his cadre of nefarious friends?

Bonus: We can shout his middle name, “JOE” outloud fear of taking a LEAD PIPE to the knees! Try and escape the wrath of the Left if you are bold enough to utter.......barack HUSSEIN obama.
