I don't hear much about Barack Obama's experience. So I decided to do a flyover of the neighborhood where Obama served as a state senator. Specifically, the apartment complexes rehabbed and managed by his biggest backers. Folks like convicted felon and (17-year friend of Barack's) Tony Rezko. And top campaign officials like Valerie Jarrett.
Here's just one of the partially uninhabitable properties called Grove Parc Plaza Apartments, a 1000-unit complex. Quoting from the Boston Globe:

Nope.
Yep. These people will happily go in and pull the lever for him. Swooning over their own executioner.
“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie”
Actually the photos shown in the blog are dated, and quite a bit of renovation is being done in the area. Google has recent aerial and street level photos which show the changes. For example, the building with the collapsing roof has a new roof in the Google aerial images, and you can see what look like workman's trucks in the cleared yard out back. (Note that in the Google aerial photo the building on the left is the building which has the collapsed roof in the blog.) The Google street level photos show brand new windows in the upper floors - complete with their labels still visible - and a dumpster out back.
The Grove Parc Plaza apartments themselves look like a typical (which means dreadful to those not used to such developments) Chicago apartment complex in a poor Chicago neighborhood. There are plenty that are worse.
Bottom line -- there are plenty of legitimate criticisms of Sen. Obama, no need to waste time on old pictures of an apartment complex. That just plays into the hands of the other side.
What’s the rent?
Even the great O’Teleprompter has no chance of making Chicago’s El trains run on time
(or on budget, or over 15 mph, or without smelling of garbage, or with working climate control, or without the thugs and druggies)
$8500 a night.
Looks like America after 4 years of 0bambi.

Thanks for the link.
So much for Nobamas stance that he is just a “community organizer” down in church basements helping poor people out of poverty- turns out all those poor people are under Nobamas bus too
Grim proving ground for Obama's housing policy"About 99 of the units are vacant, many rendered uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage. Mice scamper through the halls. Battered mailboxes hang open. Sewage backs up into kitchen sinks. In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale - a score so bad the buildings now face demolition."
Lots of money for Rezko, none for Joe the Plumber.
Glad I saw this topic, it occurred to me recently that because of his experience as a “community organizer” and college professor, that he hasn’t trotted out one resident from the affordable housing projects, (re:Rezko days)or one former student (didn’t he teach at Univ of Chicago?) for any kind of endorsement? You have to ask yourself, why? Where are the glowing personal stories you’d think we would have heard about. No one anywhere in his past experience as an unselfish public servant can come forth and say, “this is how he has changed my life for the better”. Where are these people? Have they wound up UNDER THE BUS also? I watched Huckabee’s show on Fox tonight, wonder what will happen to the guests who were harrassed by ACORNs into filling out duplicate voter registration apps?
