Obama would have to be extremely lacking cognitive aptitude to try and run for president without being a natural born citizen......ince Obama and I share one thing in common, and let me stress the key operative word of that first part - "one", I thought that I would share my birth certificate (front and back, with signature) with the world, minus the personal stuff. Since we were both born in Hawaii, and our copies of our official birth certificate would be on record at the same place, I would think that his would look at least a little like mine, especially since I actually went to the Health Department and paid the $10.00 to get mine while standing in line.

Senator Obama's own campaign website http://fightthesmears.com/articles/5/birthcertificate (indeed, the very same campaign webpage that has the dubious "certification of live birth") has recently admitted that Senator Obama was a Kenyan citizen:
Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.
And there must be a record of when he registered for the draft. Have we seen that? Should be public record.
Good question. Do members of Congress, governors, etc. have to prove citizenship before they run for any elective office? Or once elected do they have to show ID?
If he wasn’t born here then I guess he figured nobody in the press and no republican would question his citizenship. And so far nobody has.
What would happen if he’s elected and after the fact it’s proven he’s not a citizen? Probably nothing.
“since Obamaâs mother was an American citizen, doesnât that make him an American citizen, even if he was born overseas?”
NO - you must be born in US os on a US base.
He apparently had dual Kenyan/US citizenship before the cutoff date. However, under US law this is about as irrelevant as anything can be.
The US does not recognize the validity of dual citizenship, therefore it pays no attention to whether a US citizen is recognized as a citizen by another nation.
Little known fact: Winston Churchill held dual British/American citizenship till his 21st birthday, as his mother was American.
Should this have disqualified him from holding office under the Crown?
Had he chosen to be an American citizen rather than British, should should he have been ineligible for the presidency?
If he was in fact born in Kenya as has been said, by people who were there at the time of his birth, he is NOT allowed to be President. According to the memory of people who were at the hospital in Kenya, Obama's mother was denied access to fly back to the U.S. because she was too close to delivery. There are also supposed to be records of a Barak Hussen Obama being born at that hopsital on that day.
Barak's mother supposedly rushed him back to the U.S. and pretended that he was born here, getting a birth certificate after the fact. When Barak was 6 he was legally adopted, causing his original birth certificate to be sealed. He has possesion of the original and refuses to let anyone see it.
The birth certificate copy he released onto the internet was a cut and paste job which has been proven to be a fraud. Most people's bets are that the actual document shows that he was born "at home", not in a hospital.
As for his mother's citizenship qualifying him as a natural born citizen regardless of birthplace, the suit claims that laws at the time of his birth required the mother to have been a US citizen for a certain number of years after age 14, and claims that, due to her age at the time of his birth, she could not have met that requirement. Therefore, he must have been born on US soil to qualify as a natural born US citizen.
From the Constitution....note the nine years as a citizen...
No Person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen.
(”This court case against Obama seems so nonsensical )
Actually i copied above from another post, then my comment was in reply to his question.
I agree needs to be resolved but I am not going to lose sleep over it.
I do not believe he will be elected and then point beecomes moot.
If he gets elected point is moot.
The point I was making about BC, was my thought on why they are playing this out this way.
Obama and the DNC is just waisting the courts systems time if he has the documentation. Why waist it if he has the proof? McCain could bring this up.
"Birth Abroad to One Citizen and One Alien Parent in Wedlock: A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under Section 301(g) INA provided the citizen parent was physically present in the U.S. for the time period required by the law applicable at the time of the child's birth. (For birth on or after November 14, 1986, a period of five years physical presence, two after the age of fourteen is required. For birth between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, a period of ten years, five after the age of fourteen are required for physical presence in the U.S. to transmit U.S. citizenship to the child."
The above is moot if the Zero was born in Hawaii. However, if that were the case, the Zero's Certificate of Live Birth should look like the one in the link above.
BHO's mom was born November 29th, 1942 and had BHO on August 4th, 1961. Now he could have been an early baby, (3 of my 5 were) but 9 months from November 29th is August 29th. So she was under 18. But, as I said the age of consent was 14! So she was an old lady there.
And just for p's and q's they got married in February 1961 while she was pregnant.
who would want that unless you're looking to trash your parents....
This is incorrect. Title 8, § 1401 states: "a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years, at least two of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years..."
The law states his mom would have to have lived in the US for 5 years (or its outlying possessions) and 2 of those years would have had to have occured after she turned 14.
So...since Hussein's mom LIVED in the US at least 2 years after she was 14 (this is not in question)...and 5 years total...he is a citizen regardless of where he was born...or how old she was (unless she was 15...and not 18).
As to why the birth certificate looks faked? Can't say. He is constitutionally eligible either way...maybe they are afraid of people's reaction to someone being foreign born even if they are a citizen.
