URGENT: Big story about to break, we are one step closer to Rezko giving Obama up to federal prosecutors

The Sun Times today gave a major clue that Barack Obama will indeed go down with Tony Rezko, sooner rather than later. It looks as though Rezko is about to turn on Alexi Giannoulias, the 30-year old State Treasurer of Illinois (who was elected only because Obama backed him).

Here’s where all the clues are…and then we’ll walk you through the local Chicago politics on how today’s hint by the Sun Times has us convinced, for the first time ever, that prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald could indeed send Barack Obama to jail.

We need to repeat that: we never believed, until now, that Obama would go to jail for anything related to Rezko. Today, this breaking news about what Rezko is singing to the Feds about makes us reconsider all of that.

Barack Obama will serve a prison sentence in the next few years — because knowing Fitzgerald, there is no reason he would be going through all of this if that was not the targeted goal in the long term.

It depends on what kind of a deal he can make. If he’s smart he’ll do it. Imagine how long a WHITE guy would last in prison .... evreyone knows the outcome of that. So either way he’s screwed unless he makes a deal that prevents that ... . They are flexible when you can get the bigger fish ... .

While very interesting, they could just as easily be going only for the governor.

Yes, Obama has some ties here. As do many others.

It doesn’t necessarily mean they were on the take.

He may have had a quid pro quo here with the house and then years later endorsing the 29-year-old to run for state government.

But, I won’t assume such. That is the job of the prosecutor to find out.

Hopefully any such suspicions will come out BEFORE the election, for if they come out later, we will end up with Biden as president.

Obama will pardon himself after he’s elected.

He has to be inaugurated before he can do this -- a president-elect does not have the Constitutional power. Fitzgerald may wait until after Election Day in order to avoid charges of influencing an election, but there are still many days between November 5 and January 21.

Fitzgerald is a federal prosecutor, and under the Clinton precedent, look for B. Hussein Obama to fire all federal prosecutors the day he is sworn in. (This applies to the political appointees, not the lower level career prosecutors who are civil service and not replaced when the administration changes.)

If, by some remote chance, Fitzgerald has the goods on BHO, he had better get an indictment before 20 January 2009.
