Excerpt from "Barack Obama: America’s First Marxist President?"

... One of these groups allied to America’s enemies was the Weatherman, a terrorist organization formed in 1969 by the most radical elements of the larger Socialist anti-war organization Students for a Democratic Society then protesting the Vietnam War. Willing to go much farther than most in the anti-war movement to bring an end to America’s effort to defend South Vietnam, the Weatherman engaged in a campaign of bombings and terrorist attacks in the late 1960s and early 1970s against numerous targets across the country including police stations, the Capitol in Washington DC, and The Pentagon. The stated purpose of their attacks was more than just ending the Vietnam War. They intended to foment a Marxist revolution in America that would bring down the entire government and then rebuild it in the image of those who were our enemies. According even to its own founding documents, the Weatherman organization was created to ally with the "Black Liberation Movement and other anti-colonial movements to achieve the destruction of US imperialism and the achievement of a classless world: world communism." In those days the phrase "anti-colonial movements" almost always referred to Marxist movements allied with the Soviet Union such as our then North Vietnamese opponents. Not only were these men and women hardcore Marxists dedicated to bringing down the American system back then, apparently many of these folks are still just as radical in their beliefs today, though their efforts in recent years have been characterized by less overtly violent means. Bill Ayers, one of the founders and leaders of the Weatherman who participated in some of those attacks himself, said in 2000 in an interview with The New York Times that "I don't regret setting bombs" and "I feel we didn't do enough."

Even if, and that’s still a big if, it happens, America will survive. We have our guns, don’t forget.

Scary, isn’t it. And they have the media in their hip pockets. I remember it all too well. I am disappointed that most of my family is voting for Obama. If he wins and if this country undergoes a Marxist revolution, I will probably never speak to any of those people again.
