Why Is John McCain NOT Mentioning Supreme Court Nominees?
10-08-2008 | my favorite headache

Posted on 10/08/2008 11:04:22 AM PDT by My Favorite Headache

Why are John McCain and his campaign, the RNC, and even 527 groups ignoring the huge elephant in the room? The extremely great possibility that Barack Hussein Obama will get the opportunity to appoint not 1 but 2 Supreme Court Justices during his 4 year term? We have 1 that is near 90 years old and another that is ill.

Wih a Democratic House and Senate are we simply ignoring the biggest issue this campaign that nobody seems to be talking about?

This one issue is reason enough to get people back to reality and focus on just what in the hell will happen when radical leftists will be appointed to the highest court in the land.

Why and HOW can we get this reminder out there in 25 days?

Insanity.

Don't drag other people into this. He has stated that he'd nominate those in the mold of Roberts and Alito. That's good enough.

If he mentions one specific person, that judge gets dragged through the mud from now to November (and beyond).

Because it will only matter to 80% of the voters — the 40% who are broken glass Republicans and the 40% who are broken glass Democrats. The middle isn’t going to get fired up about Supreme Court justices, whether we like it or not.

You can talk about abortion or gay marriage or jailed terrorists, and the 20% in the middle will split on the Supreme Court issue. Some will go one way and some will go the other.

Why didn’t he throw any real punches last night either? He is running a bad campaign.

McCain had the opportunity to do so last night. He would have been effective and it would have upset people and would have been called aggressive and negative and unproductive and not politically correct.

McCain is a pandering puss. Time to demand that southern primaries be brought up earlier to late January instead of letting blue state “Republican’ts” decide who we should have as the nominee.

Is he mentioning it in his campaign ad’s? Haven’t seen ANY at all where he does. Has he been talking about it in his speeches every day on the stump? Nope..haven’t heard that either.

McCain is an idiot?

McCain is not a Conservative?

McCain doesn't have a strong attachment to the US Constitution?

Why is he not mentioning that and numerous other things?

McCain is losing this campaign because he refuses to fight Obama and his lies, and dirty tactics such as ACORN voter fraud. He’s just been rolling over (or bending over, I should say) and accepting the abuse heaped upon him- and expecially Sarah Palin.
The anemic attempts by the McCain camp to fight back within the last few days just ain’t gonna get it.
He should have been hitting Obama back hard months ago.
He needs to get out there every day and FIGHT BACK.

Email Republican headquarters/McCain. FReep ‘EM OUT!

REMIND McCAIN THAT HE HAS AN OBLIGATION AS OUR CANDIDATE TO FIGHT BACK!
To h*ll with bipartisian BS!
To h*ll with PC!
To h*ll with ‘conducting a respectful campaign’as McCain has said, and vowed to do.

RESPECTFUL CAMPAIGNING WENT STRAIGHT OUT THE WINDOW WITH OBAMA’S NASTY, BRUTAL COMMENTS SUCH AS;
‘lipstick on a pig’ and ‘You can wrap AN OLD FISH in a piece of paper called change. It’s still going to stink after eight years.’

Take off the gloves, McCain!
Hit the Marxist/Muslim hard with Ayers, Acorn, Violation of Logan Act, abortion, 2nd admendment, Campaigning for Odinga!!
Get off the d*mned economy issue. State that Obama/Democrats/ACORN caused this meltdown. State McCain offered a proposal to avert the meltdown and GET OFF IT.
Obama is counting on keeping this going to take the spotlight off his sordid past and dirty dealings!
NOTHING is more important than waking America up to this Marxist/Muslim!! DO IT. EXPOSE HIM!

**and ruin his bi-partisan image? LOL!**

And I had a nightmare that McCain nominated his buddy TEDDY Kennedy to the Supreme Court ... didn’t sleep for days after that one.

McCain has not mentioned a HOST of revelant issues regarding Darth HUSSEIN Vader.

You could write a BOOK on all the reasons Obama is wrong for America.

Those of us who prefer him in part because of the effect on SCOTUS are already voting for him. Stressing the matter might loose support from some PUMAs. Let it rest.

He doesn't want to sound "partisan." He learned well from the political Master Dole.

Not even 80%. More like .8%.

The SCOTUS is simply too complex an issue. So is the financial meltdown, but that problem isn’t abstract. It’s real.
