McCain hit Obama on taxes, government run health care, fannie/freddie, and national security. Not bad, considering the planted questions (like the one from Ingrid Jackson concerning climate change)

I THINK this is a HUGE mistake on McCain’s part. He does not understand the “mushy middle.” Most of them are fiscal conservatives but more moderate or liberal on social and national security issues. The last thing they want to hear is McCain saying he’s going to pay for the irrresponsible decsions of people who purchased housed they can’t afford. McCain may have thought such a plan would help him, but it won’t.
