Despite Sarah Palin's stunning performance in Friday night's VP Debates, despite that fleeting sense of optimism and the re-energizing of the Republican base, the Obama train is barely delayed on its seemingly inevitable rush to the White House. Despite these growing concerns of Barack Obama's dubious history:

Still More Questionable Obama Associations From Susan Duclos' Wake Up America

Friday, October 03, 2008

Rezko, Wright, Ayers, Meeks, Pfleger, ACORN....the lists go on and on and on and today reports show their is another person associated with Barack Obama who is now under investigation. The FBI is investigating a former Illinois state senator who is a poker-playing buddy of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama.According to Chicago authorities, the FBI visited the offices in Joliet, Ill., of a Will County auditor to ask questions about Larry Walsh, a longtime friend of Mr. Obama's, and his chief of staff Matt Ryan.Mr. Walsh, who served in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2005, was endorsed by Mr. Obama in his county executive election bid. With the support of some of Mr. Obama's U.S. Senate volunteers, he easily defeated incumbent Republican Joseph Mikan. Will County auditor Steve Weber confirmed that his office had been asked by the FBI to assist in an investigation, but he did not elaborate on the specifics. Two FBI agents out of Chicago reportedly spent more than an hour in the Will County offices on Wednesday morning. Exactly how connected is Barack Obama with Larry Walsh and Will County? Glad you asked!!!

Commentary has more information garnered from answer center, Barack Obama, under the header of "What earmarks has Senator Obama requested for fiscal years 2006 and 2007?" And Barack Obama? Well he sure got a lot of earmarks in there for Will County, although we do not know whether these are the immediate concern of or related in any way to the investigation. In Obama’s earmark disclosure you will find: In 2006, Obama requested that Will County receive $1.3 million to support its Flood Studies for Unincorporated Will County. In 2006, Obama requested $800,000 for the Will County Sheriff’s Office Wireless Communications Technology Upgrades.
In 2006, Obama requested $1,953,331 for Will County’s Ridgewood Water and Sewage Project. In 2005, Obama requested $2 million for the Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, to establish a Center for Academic and Community Learning, which is designed to address the significant educational needs of the less advantaged in the Will County region by providing academic assistance not only for students on campus but also for residents of the surrounding communities.Another reference appears to relate to the Will County Health Department’s mental health program which I am informed got another $1.95 million.
A little more history brought to you by Sun Times, South Town Star.Exactly how many of these associations are going to be exposed, just to see the mainstream media deliberately try to ignore the amount of criminal and questionable characters that are friends and associates of Barack Obama?

Despite all of these damning revelations: Why the Debates don't Matter

Despite all of the scandals: The Gwen Ifill Scandal and the Obama Democrats Contempt for America

Despite all of the accumulating danger signals: Obama's Endorsements From Our Enemies

Despite the incriminating disclosure of his secret attempts to manipulate our military in Iraq for his own personal political gain: Will the Most Damaging Obama Scandal of all be Buried Alive?

Despite his obvious contempt for justice: Obama's Gloves

And despite all of the logical projections of how an Obama presidency would almost certainly destroy America: Elect Obama, Destroy America the Obama train rolls on.

Don't you see? None of it matters. The jury has already made up its mind, they have already determined the verdict. They are burning with the hot flame of passionate righteousness. They are going to send a great message to the world. They are going to change the way this world sees us. They are going to embrace this new vision of America. An America no longer intolerant and racist, a less selfish America, more aware of the concerns of the world around us. An America contrite and humbled. This is their glowing vision of change. And nothing we can do or say will alter their fateful course. No arguments, no matter how convincing or logical, no accumulation of damaging evidence will sway them. America will, it seems, be inevitably diminished, and the world applauds. All of our impassioned entreaties have fallen on deaf ears.

Am I becoming a defeatist? I don't even know anymore. I am becoming numb and resigned to our fate, to our loss, to our demise. I am dumbfounded and I am angry.

Dammit America! What the hell are you doing to us?

We need to create a Sarah PAC after this election, regardless of outcome. She is a treasure we need to fully embrace.

No whining. Volunteer or donate now. IGNORE the polls. Go to your local Mcain-PALIN HQ and make calls or do them from home. Tell your freinds or relatives to do the same.

1. Obama is not leading in Florida and he not going to win it. I live at ground zero 2000. We have over twice as many McCain signs over Bush 2000 and 2004 signs. My neighbors are middle to upper middle class and they do not want to lose EVERYTHING to Obama.
2. The few Dems do not have Obama signs. They congressman or state Rep. These are Hillary voters.
3. A hard core Dem Hillary/Gore/Kerry guy plugged into the Dem Party who had a Hillary sign for the primary has no sign.
4. Obama is going to have problems with Jewish voters in FL, NY, OH, PA, MI and other states. Creepy carpet bagger Wexler has been going to S FL condos to push Obama to Jewish voters and he gets boo’ed.

The rest of country. We had a bad week. Sadly we had to back the banking bill which the Dems setup, I think, with Soros and Saudi money. Voters forgot about Obama, Islamic terrorism and everything else. The Dems with Fannie & Freddie caused it but the media spun in against us.

Michigan “pullout” may be a diversion by McCain. The people in MI are going to keep fighting and McCain can win Michigan. MI approved the ban on “affirmative action” a few years ago by 15%. All the polls said it would lose and that it was racist.

Obama is rock star but Palin is a 50,000 megawatt Reagan who can turn out the lights on the Obama star like nothing else. The Dems know it. She can outpull Obama and the Obama rock star appeal may be diminishing as we get closer to the election. This is marriage time and a lot of people are not going to “walk down the aisle” with Obama.

McCain is slightly ahead or close in MN and WS. Norm Coleman is beating buffoon Al Franken in MN.
Sarah send “Todd and I will go to Michigan.” Here is the plan - send Sarah and Tood to WS, MN and then MI. Maybe have Mitt tag along to MI. Have a clear plan to turn around MI and Detroit - ie our FOUR times the Saudis oil reserves in shale oil, coal diesel and ND oil at $30 a barrel. GM, Ford and Chrysler signed a deal with the UAW to reduce costs. If we start getting the USA oil going - oil prices drop, tax revenues up, more jobs, economic growth, wealth creation (ND farmers are getting rich already of the burgeoning oil boom).

The Saudis are terrified of this. Wonder where someone offshore credit card donations are coming from?

Sarah and Todd can win WS, MN, MI and turn Iowa plus PA, OH and lock down MO, IN and others. I think they can sweep most of the Rust Belt states.

No whining, igore the polls, contribute (this & sarah will get MI back in play) and volunteer.

take a peek here at post #13; either the guy’s a poser, which I doubt since he’s been here for 7 years , or the GOP’s gotta put BF’s face on the mess the way the Dems ran against Gingrich in ‘96.

The one thing we have in our favor is that the attention span of the American people is about three days. There is exactly one month left until the election and so much can happen. When I see polls today that has Obama up by 7 and compare that to polls two weeks ago that had McCain up by as much as 5 I have to wonder how 12% of the voters can change their mind so fast and so far. On the other hand, if they are that easily swayed than anything can happen in the next four weeks. Also, I’m convinced there is a huge, silent force out there who will show up on election day and make monkeys out of the pollsters and pundits. Wishful thinking? Maybe, but then again, maybe not.

I agree with your point on the attention span.

It was a mere three weeks ago the Liberals were in outright panic about Obama going down in flames and Palin going to Washington.

McCain has to find his voice, but we’ve got four weeks to go here. The bailout is in the rear view mirror and the story the last 48 hours has been Palin. Obama can’t have Palin be the story. I think the polls will tighten again come Wednesday.

“McCain has to find his voice, but we’ve got four weeks to go here. “

Not really. Absentee ballots are being voted and sent in as we speak. My county is 45% absentee voting. Places like Oregon are all mail in. If McCain is going to ‘find his voice’ he better get with it.

So much fear and panic has been generated over the past couple of weeks. With that coursing through the public, the dems may temporarily do better in the polls because the knee-jerk reaction is to reach for a New Deal and the supposed safety net.

But being scared all day, day after day, gets pretty boring after a while...it's not the American way to sustain these levels of fear. We have tremendous resources in our freedoms to create the answers to whatever challenges we face, so it is not our way to get stuck in fear.

It reminds me of Lee Greenwood's version of the Pledge of Allegiance (on American Patriot), where he talks about one of our most important freedoms as Americans is Freedom from Fear.

I think many Freepers might be surprised to know how little info most Americans know about not only Obama but politics in general. Most Americans this time of the year are tuned into the sports channel or reading the gossip mags. Few Americans follow politics at all. So the great majority of Americans have no idea where Obama came from, who his radical associates were, and how the Dems are complicit in the FM scandal. All they know is what they read in their lib rag and watch on their lib alphabet news channel. Which is greedy capitalists together with greedy Republicans created the mess we're in now.

McCain's campaign is the worst run campaign I've ever seen. Worse than Dole's. McCain has more ammunition at his disposal and the most attractive (in many respects) veep candidate in history. But he's clueless.

"wednesday"

It's actually Tuesday, but you're correct in general. Dems always promise more than Republicans. Why vote for a wimp Republican when you can vote for the real socialist deal? This credit crisis, caused by and reform of rejected by Dems, has been laid by the Dems and Big Media solely at the feet of "greedy" capitalists and the Republican Party. McCain has done nothing to counter those lies.

Yep and HEY! I just got 2 Obama voters to switch to McCain. Used Corsi’s book. It worked and they are 30 something pro choice women.

We’ve got 5 weeks to go. Calling McCain clueless after he picked Palin isn’t very honest. Let’s see what he’s got.

Okay, he picked Palin. One of the few correct things he’s done. He still can’t figure out he has to attack Dems and not go maundering off about earmarks and other things most Americans have no idea about. That’s what’s so irritating about McCain. He has a ton of ammunition to use against the most dangerous and unqualified candidate in American history. And either doesn’t know how to use it or plain doesn’t want to use it. Every other Pubbie candidate would have beating the Dems over their heads about all the FM scandal stuff. Until McCain realizes he has to attack, he will flounder. And the polls prove this.
