Rolling Stone: McCain a 'Mean Little Fu_ _er,' That Puts Own 'Advancement Above All Else'

The Rolling Stone has a long attack piece on John McCain in its October issue that really rakes the GOP presidential candidate over the coals. The piece indulges in quite a lot of name-calling and dismisses his patriotism, bravery, and integrity in nearly every paragraph. It's quite a vicious attack piece, really.

This slanderous piece doesn't even take a little time to get warmed up as it emerges, guns blazing, in the first few paragraphs by calling John McCain an "undisciplined, spoiled brat" and insisting that he once went to Rio to "get laid" despite being married, with three kids at the time. This sort of name-calling is indicative of the whole piece.

Writing -- or more precisely vomiting -- for Rolling Stone, in a piece headlined "Make-Believe Maverick," Tim Dickinson attacks McCain as acting purely on ambition, doubting his commitment to the country and slamming his integrity at every turn...

Dumb and Dumber is a perfect moniker for Rolling Stone and its customers.

Anyone get annoyed (but not surprised) about the 2-faced treatment of McCain by the MSM and their minions like RS?

When McCain wasn’t running, or wasn’t the prime contender, he was a virtual darling of the media. For years. Now that he’s the prime candidate with an “R” still next to his name, he’s “as bad as Bush” (premise being that that is bad?) or worse.

What transparent 2-faced bastards.

I would not pay attention to this type of discussion from a so-called selfless advocate who has not personally landed an aircaft on a carrier at night, twice.

or voluntarily chosen to give birth to a child with lifelong special needs, for that matter

They loved Kerry. Remember whom Kerry wanted to be VP?
Now how do they regard Kerry’s choice? For that matter
look how they disregard Gore’s running mate.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/nation/2004-06-11-mccain-reject-kerry_x.htm

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican Sen. John McCain has rejected John Kerry’s request to consider being his running mate, dashing Democrats’ hopes for a bipartisan alliance with one of the nation’s most popular politicians, officials close to the talks say.

Kerry and McCain have discussed the vice presidency on several occasions, with the nominee-in-waiting sketching out a scenario under which McCain could have a significant role over defense and other issues, said the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because Kerry wants his deliberations kept secret.

I was thinking the same thing..these same looney left wingers loved McCain a year ago.

Also, it’s funny that the RS piece is saying McCain is spoiled and is just another ambitious politician.
Yea, and what, Obama is running to save the world?
Puhlease.

That puts own advancement above all else......

What can I say. If the younger generation (generally speaking) did not have the attitude that they were more important than anyone else and just cannot exist without toys, bailouts, etc....what else is there.

This is the ‘ol pot calling the kettle black.....and who cares about Rolling Stones Magazine opinion anyway....

Judging from that “cartoon,” it appears as though Rolling Stoned might not “support the troops.” Excessive use of recreational drugs will do that to you.

The Rebels became The Establishment back in the ‘80’s. Rolling Stone is just the color version of The New York Times.

I don’t know, considering the audience for Rolling Stone, mean little ****er might actually play very well. Come on, no one reads Rolling Stone because the articles are “nice” and the profiles are “genteel.” It may backfire on them.

Sadly, I guess some still do. Once in awhile someone will leave a copy lying around in the breakroom at work and I’ll
see a music article or two (interview with Ray Davies, for
example) but the political stuff is so far left that I only have to shake my head. Would never pay for it, of course.

The same mag gushed about John Edwards as “The Real Liberal”
and they felt he’d make a great President. I did check out
their site to see any comments right after Silky P(h)ony’s
scandal to see what people thought about The Real Liberal now.

That’s not a hit job. It’s a crucifiction. Rolling Stone can’t stand knowing an actual Patriot is on the ballot. The article illuminates more about Rolling Stone than John McCain.

Rolling Stone, owned by Jan Wenner who is totally in the tank for Obama, has published a Republican-bashing hit piece each month since the campaign began. They also have anti-Republican comics and allow Obama campaign ads. His imprint was also on the Sarah palin cover of US magazine, another Wenner publication. It’s not surprising at all he has another hit piece this month and expect another one next month. The only thing that would replace it is a love piece on Obama.

"...he once went to Rio to "get laid" despite being married,..."

So the "journalists" that inherited one of the flagship rags of the "love the one you're with" generation is now giving lessons on sexual mores?

ROFL!

They "loved" him because they had the goods on him, and built him up, so they could destroy him down the road.

90% of the readers of Rolling Stoned Magazine will wake up on Wednesday morning hungover and strung-out, show up at the polls and be surprised that they’re not open.
