Me too. And I'm sure she'll do well. The question is, will the victory be decisive enough to penetrate the media's fogbank of spin?
It's an important question, because millions of lives hang in the balance.

Palin just needs to show up, look stunning, respond with assertiveness and calm, and she’ll be fine. She should be ready to shine on energy and fiscal/tax issues.
Let the MSM keep demonizing her. They are only hurting BO in critical swing states when McCain lets her loose, particularly in PA, OH, WI, MI etc.
and what if she doesn't? what if she does a decent job, and he does a decent job? what if she holds her own but doesn't hit it out of the park? she loses... and much of the reason is that our side has been making comments like, "she's gonna wipe the floor with Joe Biden." we have set her up if she doesn't do a STELLAR job...
There is a phrase we used to use about “some” programmers back in my old mainframe COBOL days. It goes something like this: Yeah, Joe has ten years of experience, but it is really just the same year done ten times.
Joe Biden is not a very smart man. I don’t care if he is a 50 year veteran of foreign affairs. Any “smart” student of foreign affairs with a few years of simply reading history and current events could blow his socks off. Also, this is easily teachable rote knowledge. Sarah can be brought up to speed pretty quickly. She has proven to be smart.
And lest we forget, she is not a 21 year old Barbie.
unfortunatley, she does need to shine... holding her own will not be enough... our side has been talking about how she's gonna kick butt in the debates... even one of my friends, who does not follow politics all that closely, made the comment, "i keep hearing how she's gonna wipe the floor with that Biden guy."
i believe she can wipe the floor with Biden... she was fantastic at the convention... i am hoping and praying...
Got it. I think Gov. Palin will do much better than Dan Quayle, although, I think the media skewered him too.
BTW, in defense of Dan’s spelling, I also learned that potato could be spelled optionally with an “e” at the end while in Ms. Pruitt’s third-grade class at K. I. Sawyer AFB, Gwinn, Michigan. It’s a very distinct memory of my elementary learning, and I have others just as vivid.
I’m a tad younger than Dan, so I imagine he learned it in much the same way.

Nope, she doesn’t need to shine, she only needs to perform. If the “redneck” doesn’t get her butt handed to her by this “old statesman” the old statesman loses.
That’s political reality.
The other political realities are these, Biden’s a Gaffe machine, he speaks in big words that no one but lawyers use, and if you let him speak enough he invariable ties himself in knots.
Palin need only perform, she doesn’t need to shine. If she does all the better, but she doesn’t need to.
The other political reality is that VP Debates have little bearing at all on election results.
Depends upon who shows up Thursday. If the “McCain” Palin shows up, she’s toast. If the conservative Gov. of Alaska shows up, she wins.
Forget the spin. The bottomline is what is the gut feeling of those that see the debate themselves live and some that watch a recorded version in it's entirety. It's called going over the head of the media. True independents are the target and many know dishonest spin when they see it.
Besides doing the best she can debating Biden on the issues, Sarah Palin hopefully will not forget to come up along side Hussein 0bama's & the Democrat Congress' lying hypocritical heads with some memorable verbal two-by-fours regarding his lack of executive experience, the subprime budget crisis and the 'Rat Congress's overall worthlessness as legislators, and how this feckless Congress would work very poorly for the USA when coupled with Hussein 0bama's lack of experience and narcissism.
It's a tall order, but she's shown herself more than up to the tasks she's been presented with so far.

I agree that spin is the issue. Half+ of America said that Obama won the Friday debate. He didn’t.
But, that’s what was reported.
1st they spin on their newscasts that X is the case.
2nd they poll to see what is the case and X is one of the responses.
3rd, they report on their newscast that their poll says X is the case.
They set her up to win by putting up Biden as a VP.
Sarah has a list a mile long of instances where Biden the “foreign policy expert” was dead wrong. That’s all she needs. That, and Joe’s smarminess, which cannot be coached away.
Is it experience or is it judegement that we desire? I’ve seen some pretty “smart” people who have no sense of judgement.
Sarah may not be a policy wonk but I’ll trust her judgement over Biden/Obama.
Unless Biden has a seizure and babbles incoherently the media will score it as a win for him....
And if he does babble incoherently amidst a grand mal seizure they will then score it as the greatest debate since Lincoln Douglas.
Wow! I never thought of that but that’s true. The Dems shot themselves in the foot. When she does not come across as the dolt Katie Couric’s “edited” interview showed her to be, she’s a winner.
I hope she brings up to Biden how he told Katie Couric that in 1929 when the Depression hit that “President Roosevelt” would have gone on TV to address the American people.
FDR was not Prez in ‘29 and there was no TV. C’mon Sarah, find some way to insert that into the debate.
Hillary and Biden ran in the Primary as the “experienced” candidate; Obama as the “new kid”.
WHO WON? The “Experienced” or the “new”?
Uh, huh.
