“If you need me, call me.” Is this the worse [sic] response by a candidate ever?
The Collins Report ^ | Sept. 23, 2008 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

Posted on 09/24/2008 3:02:50 PM PDT by jmaroneps37

The mortgage crisis is now officially the grimmest and most threatening financial event of our lifetime. Democrats fingerprints are all over this mess .. no Republicans to blame....

Barack Obama knows ... if he sets foot in Washington [until] nightmare is history he will be nailed .. biggest average recipient of Fanny and Freddy money.

... he will have to explain his ironclad connections to the biggest crooks in this mess. He must know he will be as much history as the mortgages collapsing all over America if he is there when simple and logical questions are asked and answers are demanded by a very angry American public.

... Obama ... public statement and held the first press conference he has granted in months. Even though he was surrounded by friends and supporters in the media, asking him questions designed to make John McCain look like an evil sorcerer for not allowing the chaste and pure Obama to jump on a joint statement, he made a terrible mess and a fool of himself.

His comments about “multi-tasking” made it obvious that all he wanted was to get back to memorizing David Axlrod’s answers for Friday’s debate, but Obama’s remarks made his situation worse.

In a stunningly smug statement Obama, whose vote will be vital to any workable solution to this crisis, addressed his fellow Senators saying, “If you need me, call me.”

... Obama has spent ...time trying to prepare for a debate that should not happen as John McCain has said. Both he and John McCain should be in Washington saving our nation, not on a college campus campaigning. If Obama sticks to his very ill advised position and sits on the stage in Mississippi by himself he will destroy himself.

The hubris is breathtaking, but not surprising

Let's hope this dope shows up and sits there by himself on Friday night. It will be the worse mistake since the Hawaii vaction.

And when they don’t call him, we’ll all see that he’s just not that important.

But to the adoring crowds at Salon, it was another bold, eyes-staring-in-the-distance pronouncement from Olympus, (where the Barackopolis is).

“Earthlings, call me if you need me. I’ll show up.”

Good. How about the American People call you when they need you? Which is never, so go ahead back to community organizing and stop toturing the rest of us.

I want to see Chris Dodd and Barney Frank frog-marched out of Congress with indictments waiting for them at the door.

Or they could do the honorable thing and resign from their respective offices, and depart into exile.

If McCain plays this right, this could very well be Zero's Dukakis moment or Emperor Nero's Let Rome Burn moment!

“CALL ME IF YOU NEED ME”...God have mercy on America!!

It’s a tie with “above my paygrade”. Loop them for a great commercial/banner.

If you need me, call me. No matter where you are, no matter how far. Just call my name. I'll be there in a hurry. On that you can depend and never worry. ...

We need the photo I saw posted here yesterday that had Obama bin Biden holing a phone to his ear upside-down.

That would be the perfect caption for that photo.

If you need me call me.

To: jmaroneps37; Question Liberal Authority

Question Liberal Authority wants to see in in an ad.

Picture this:

A darkened room, on a night stand a clock radio showing 3:00 am, and a desk phone.

Voice over, Obama saying “If you need me, call me.”

Camera zooms in on the phone.

20 seconds of silence.
