And I am thinking the Bush Tax Cut turned the number of tax filers who paid no income tax from about 25 million to over 40 million.

He’d probably give a “refund” to non-filers.

You write somebody a check and call it a tax cut.

How Can Obama Cut Taxes For 95% Of Americans, When 40% Don't Pay Any Federal Income Tax At All?

Same way that folks who don't pay income taxes can get an "income tax rebate." These people live in an alternate universe, but no matter how hard they push the non-sensical propaganda, I will never accept it.

How can Obama cut taxes for 95% of Americans, when 40% (actually 40% +) of Americans don't pay any federal income tax at all?

Many will be getting free money.

He wants to give a $1,000 check to every no account lazy SOB in the country. He calls this a tax cut although these people pay no taxes.

They aren’t getting tax cuts; they’re getting “tax relief.” In other words, tax rebates on taxes they never paid. Or, as I always knew it, “welfare.”

If you don’t understand the Democrats’ version of tax refunds, then this will help:

50,000 people went to a baseball game, but the game was rained out. A refund was then due.

The team was about to mail refunds when a group of Congressional Democrats stopped them and suggested that they send out the ticket refunds based on the Democrat National Committee’s interpretation of fairness.

Originally the refunds were to be paid based on the price each person had paid for the tickets. Unfortunately that meant most of the refund money would be going to the ticket holders that had purchased the most expensive tickets. This, according to the DNC, is considered totally unfair. A decision was then made to pay out the refunds in this manner:

People in the $10 seats will get back $15. After all, they have less money to spend on tickets to begin with. Call it an “Earned Income Ticket Credit.” Persons “earn” it by having few skills, poor work habits, and low ambition, thus keeping them at entry-level wages.

People in the $25 seats will get back $25, because it “seems fair.”

People in the $50 seats will get back $1, because they already make a lot of money and don’t need a refund. After all, if they can afford a $50 ticket, they must not be paying enough taxes.

People in the $75 luxury box seats will each have to pay an additional $25 because it’s the “right thing to do”.

People walking past the stadium that couldn’t afford to buy a ticket for the game each will get a $10 refund, even though they didn’t pay anything for the tickets. They need the most help. Sometimes this is known as Affirmative Action.

Now do you understand?

If not, contact Representative Nancy Pelosi, Senator Harry Reid, Senator Ted Kennedy or Senator Hillary Clinton for assistance.

He can’t cut their taxes since they don’t pay any so he’s going to send them cash. Think “welfare” without the pesky social worker...

Well, maybe he will cut taxes for 95% of the remaining 60%, so this means only 3% of us will get a tax increase. < / sarcasm >

How?
Because he’s lying, that’s how.

What he is actually proposing is putting 95% of Americans on welfare essentially, sending them a government check, though the amount would be trivial. He proposes paying for it by raising taxes on the remaining top 5%.

So in otherwords, it is classic socialist redistribution.
No one has bothered calling 0bama on it, perhaps because no one has taken his “tax cut” promise serious enough yet.

Oh, and 0bama will raise “middle-class” taxes in other less direct ways. So that $500 government check won’t even cover all his new taxes he will saddle voters with.

Increase the Earned Income Tax Credit, which is a “negative income tax” for poor, working filers, I bet....

He must be using the same math as he used for the number of states.
