*Breaking* ACORN Fraud Epidemic Hits Michigan! ALERT

Election officials, election watch groups, and Republicans: GUARD voter registration, absentee ballot voting, and ALL other voting practices in battleground states. If ACORN is there, watch them.

*Breaking*ACORN has been caught in the battleground state of Michigan.

This comes as no surprise to anyone following ACORN’s trail of voter fraud.

Via Freep.com (h/t to Count Us Out):

Several municipal clerks across the state are reporting fraudulent and duplicate voter registration applications, most of them from a nationwide community activist group working to help low- and moderate-income families.

And who might that “community activist group” be?

The majority of the problem applications are coming from the group ACORN, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which has a large voter registration program among its many social service programs. ACORN’s Michigan branch, based in Detroit, has enrolled 200,000 voters statewide in recent months, mostly with the use of paid, part-time employees.

“There appears to be a sizeable number of duplicate and fraudulent applications,” said Kelly Chesney, spokeswoman for the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office. “And it appears to be widespread.”

As the article points out, ACORN is a repeat offender:

In recent years, ACORN’s voter registration programs have come under investigation in Ohio, Colorado, Missouri and Washington, with some employees convicted of voter fraud.

They left out recent investigations in Wisconsin, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere.

Obama has ties to ACORN. Deep ties. Read our August report:

ACORN has received payments of nearly a million dollars from the Barack Obama Campaign in 2008… Apparently the payments were funneled through Citizens Services Inc., and may have been falsely reported to the FEC.

The Senator has been working with ACORN since his first days as a Community Organizer in Chicago:

“In 1992, Acorn Hired Mr. Obama To Run A Voter Registration Effort. He Later Became A Trainer For The Group, As Well As Its Lawyer In Election Law Cases.” (John Fund, Op-Ed, “Obama’s Liberal Shock Troops,” “The Wall Street Journal”, 7/12/08 )

and

“Representing ACORN, Obama And Other Attorneys Sued The State Of Illinois, Forcing It To Implement Federal “Motor Voter” Legislation That Makes It Easier For The Poor And Minorities To Register To Vote.” (”Some Cases Obama Worked On In His Career As An Attorney,” “The Associated Press”, 2/20/07). Hence again impartiality is not possible.

More Press Quotes on ACORN:

ACORN Used “In Your Face” Tactics Like Disrupting Hearings, Bursting Into City Council Meetings, And Protesting Mayor’s Homes. (Stanley Kurtz, Op-Ed, “Inside Obama’s Acorn,” “National Review”, 5/29/08 )

“ACORN Has Been Accused Of Voter Fraud In 13 StatesSince 2004 And Was Convicted Of Falsifying Signatures In A Voter Registration Drive Last July, Drawing A Fine Of $25,000 In Washington State.” (Editorial, “George Soros: The Man, The Mind And The Money Behind MoveOn,” “Investor’s Business Daily”, 9/21/07)

“ACORN Has Been Implicated In Similar Schemes In 14 Other States - Including Ohio, Where A Worker Traded Crack Cocaine For Fraudulent Registrations.” (Editorial, “Another ACORN Scandal,” “New York Post”, 7/13/08 )

Meanwhile, keep in mind: ACORN has been a beneficiary of grants from the Chicago-based Woods Fund, which has a history of issuing controversial grants. Ayres and Obama served together on the Fund’s board (and are still listed). [Other grantees during their tenure included PLO employee Rashid Khalidi and the Obamas' church, Trinity United.]

And we concluded:

…Obama has been directly involved in funding ACORN, has worked for ACORN, and is now PAYING ACORN in exchange for assistance to his campaign.

What kind of assistance is ACORN providing the campaign? When we read about ACORN’s expertise in “voter fraud” and “in-your-face” tactics, it instantly reminded us of Obama’s caucus fraud tricks.

And this: ACORN’s roots go back to the 60’s, when its founder Wade Rathke was a member of the radical group, SDS. As we reported recently, Barack Obama was involved with the SDS at Occidental College in the 80s. And guess who else has connections to both the SDS and ACORN? That’s right! Bill “the bomber” Ayers.

As they say, follow the money or, in this case, the Marxist Revolutionary Handbook.

Atlas Shrugs asked in August: Why Hasn’t ACORN Been Stripped of Its Eligibility?

Good question. Why is ACORN still in the voter registration business?

**FRAUD ALERT**ALL BATTLEGROUND STATES**FRAUD ALERT** Oh, by the way. In Michigan, ACORN is all innocent-acting, as usual:

ACORN officials said they were looking into the problem.

“We’ll do an investigation to see what’s happening,” said David Lagstein, a spokesman for the Detroit office. “If it’s really as many as that, it warrants further investigation.”

~snip~

“We’re proud of our efforts to increase voter registration, and we have aggressive training for our staff to make sure the cards are filled out appropriately,” he said.

ACORN has a method to track the workers who filled out individual registration cards, which will allow investigators to question the workers, Lagstein said.

“We certainly do our best to keep the duplications as low as possible, so we’ll have to evaluate what’s happening here,” he said.

Oh yeah. I’ll bet ACORN is lovey-dovey cooperative when they get caught. It’s the cost of doing business, right? You win some, you lose some. You keep on truckin’.

STOP ACORN NOW!!

Now these people are what's traditionally thought of as being "community organizers". Isn't this the group Obama worked for"? Hey Charlie Gibson - is this stuff worth a question or two? Or can't the boys at ABC find Chicago on a map?

Here's the EvilOverlord view of this:

Voter fraud is an attempt to overthrow an election, effectively a coup d'etat.

This is TREASON.

A nation-wide conspiracy to commit voter fraud is an attempt to overthrow the rightfully elected President of the United States. This should be a death penalty offense.

For state-level and local level voter fraud, I'd be willing to live with long prison sentences.

Putting a thumb in indelible ink worked great in Iraq. The purple thumb was a badge of honor and fraud was kept to a minimum. I’d stick my thumb in ink. Why is it that we can fix voter fraud in a foreign country so easily, but that same solution is not “good enough” for us at home?

No need for long prison sentences. I think 18 months in jail, a $10 thousand fine, and permanent ineligibility to vote in all future elections in any jurisdiction, or obtain a security clearance would be fine with me.

And that's just the places they were caught...

"McCain will have to win by at least 10% to overcome a Detroit election."

I think the margin of fraud is about 1-2%. The Dems know it. In 2004, Bush lost Pennsylvania by 145,000 votes, 2.5% of the total. In Philadelphia, he lost by 300,000 votes, double the statewide win margin, and "received" 100,000 votes to Kerry's 400,000. Nearly all the fraud happened there. I've seen analyses showing that at maximum 50-75,000 votes could be fraudulent. So Bush probably didn't lose PA because of fraud, but in a 1% race it would tip the scales.

Ditto for Missouri. Maybe in Michigan?

That's why they're always trying to extend precinct voting times only in black districts. That's why they do it only a couple of hours before the polls close, when all the decent suburbanites have already done their voting duty and gone home to dinner. Because then the suburbanites don't demand open polls in their own precincts. And the inner city black precinct workers have more time to, ahem, perpetuate their fraud.

One of the common tricks used in Detroit is to refuse to hand in their tally till the votes in the rest of the state are counted. They do this despite court orders and they do it because they want to know how many votes they need to steal.

I too am at a loss over what they haven’t addressed i.e., voter fraud and treasonous activities to name a couple. I think W has to be pushed hard to care and take action. He needs to pedal off into the sunset.

“Kristallnacht was the product of community organizers.”

Great line, it may be my new tagline.
It is disturbing that we have people that need “community organizers” to help live their lives. They are just like sheep to be herded. Completely the opposite of our nations founding principals of free thought

These communities need organ donors more than organizers.

Your welcome to the tagline, though I might use it too!

I agree that many have moved away from our founding principles and values. By and large, government is not the solution. I recently read an essay by Thomas Paine and he complained that the people of his time relied too much on government. Of course, it is much worse now.

“One of the common tricks used in Detroit is to refuse to hand in their tally till the votes in the rest of the state are counted. “

And let’s give our RINO state attorney general, Mike Cox, his due. That worhless piece of garbage is nothing but a sock puppet for the commie granholm. That yammering little pissant has prosecuted not one criminal in the state government or the private market. I have one lawsuit in the docket and three pending to try to get back some of the money stolen by crooked businesses. This state is corrupt to the core.
