Here is the third and fourth parts of Charlie Gibson's interview with Gov. Sarah Palin which aired tonight on World News Tonight. Gibson continued in "gotcha" mode, not really wanting to get to know who Sarah Palin is, but trying every conceivable angle to trip her up. . . . (see videos at link)
Gibson is a pompous ass. These “interviews” are really all about Charlie trying to trip her up for his massas down at the DNC.
Thanks for the link
It looks like Gibson has decided to try to become the “hero” of his media and leftist tribe by taking down the opposition.
This worked really well for Dan Rather.
Gibson lied about her quote about God’s plan.
How can she do it with a family of seven?
Charlie overlooks that some of her kids are older and are either out of the household or will soon be. Looking at the body of Charlie's interview with Palin, he was grossly unfair during the interviews. The good part is she answered the questions and they are behind her.
I thought Palin looked much better in these than in the last round. Of course, a big part of her not looking as good earlier was the hatchet job on the editing by the goons at ABC.
Thanks for the link!
She did much better tonight, more relaxed, and more straight forward. Perhaps she just knew what to expect this time around.
Thank you for posting this. I now like Sarah more than ever!! Gibson is a goon, disrespectful, arrogant, ignorant and a first class creep with those glasses on his nose like he’s a professor or something! Sheeeeeesh already.
She was great!!!!
Good for the post. I don’t want to watch Charlie and give him ratings.
Yes he is but that was yesterday and today I think Charlie may be falling in love just like the rest of us. He was on his good behavior tonight and there really were no gotcha questions. Well maybe the economic questions were semi-gotchas but for the most part Charlie was in Palin territory topicwise and she just knocked it out of the park. Our Sarah is back.
And remember, there are times when even a pompous ass can be impressed. There were a few tonight.
Thank you for posting those videos. Governor Palin continues to impress.
Apparently Gibson has a teleprompter with the same prescription as his reading glasses. /s
I truly believe that as partisan as some Dems are, in this case Dem women, that it is crystal clear that Gibson is going for a gotcha interview that not only is harsher than his interviews with Dem women but also Dem men.
As has been exposed today by Newsbusters the choice of Obama was acceptable because the media bought into and promoted the idea that Obama doesn't need to be excluded because of his lack of experience because they agreed with Obama's rhetoric of "judgement" over "experience".
Everytime the Democrat Media pushes the idea that Palin doesn't have enough experience to be McCain's VP they subconsciously remind viewers/readers that Obama credentials to be the P are not only weak but weaker than Palin's.
Well, I haven’t seen day 1 either and I have been looking all over that blog and can’t find it? Am i just blind or am I losing it? Searched on here too....I think...can anyone point the way to it? Thanks in advance.
Charlie did a better job with this interview.
That said, I'll bet there are lots of women working at ABC who also have children. Gibson is more worried about a woman being in a position of power, than of just having a job.

Agreed. She appeared much better tonight. I have to say that I thought the first night was fair—the condescension notwithstanding—yet she handled herself as well or better than Zero would have under the same conditions. Tonight she has (so far) hit it out of the park and I also agree that Gibson may be developing a crush on her and, I might say, a better understanding of the Alaskan landscape that shapes Palin’s worldview.
While I also agree that Gibson has at times been condescending, I don’t think he’s been unfair—except for that business about her “exact quote” which might, after all, be the fault of the interns who came up with the question. He had a pretty tough job walking a line between been a gumshoe investigator and giving a fluff interview and I don’t think when it all shakes out, there will be any basis for the other side to say it was a softball game or, conversely, that it was grossly unfair. He did ok, not great, but ok. She did reasonably well last night and spectacular today (so far, again).
This is outrageous. Did anyone else see this? Obviously once they got feedback from the Obama Campaign to the early-released video that the clip was too favorable to Palin, they made the last minute edit to remove a clip. I am recording H&C repeat to put the comparison up on YouTube.
Is this the f**king Soviet Union???
I saw Gibson get really angry when she said she killed the bridge. He just couldn’t believe the facts might support her side. He asked if it was OK that they kept the money and suggested she was lying by saying “thanks but no thanks.”
The answer (roughly):
“Yes - that was money allocated to the state to use as we see fit.” What earmarking actually is appears to be lost on commentators, just like they don’t know what the “immaculate conception” actually refers to.
The media is really out for Obama. This is pathetic.
“ABC cut the clip!!!”
I just watched the whole video on abc.com and it wasn’t cut from there. Don’t know about on tv.
