Complete or excerpt?
It’s the complete interview from tonight. The first part was at the beginning of World News Tonight, and then their was a brief second portion at the end of the broadcast. Both segments are provided.
Thanks.
I like the part where she says she visited the injured troops in Germany. There is one right across the chops on odumbo
Wow. She is one tough lady and great under pressure.
Allahpundit at Hotair and most of the folks at the Corner were anything from appalled to disappointed at Palin’s performance. I didn’t see it, but these folks have been on the ball quite a bit. To those who saw it are AllahP and the Corner on targt?
Charlie Gibson should be ashamed of himself. There’s no way he would treat Obama like that. Very condescending and very negative.
She has more experience than Obama and he’s slamming her experience.
The glasses on the end of his nose as he looks over them is very telling. Anyone else he would remove them when he asked her the question and put them back on when he needed to read.
I’m not sure who Charles Gibson is, but I couldn’t take more than a few minutes of his condescending tone and lose/lose “gotcha” questions (so, are you inexperienced or over-confident?). I’m sure if The Messiah was being interviewed by this POS, we’d get some REALLY hard questions like: “How do you deal with the constant barrage of lies and negativity from your opponents?” or “Tell us about your wonderful wife, Michelle, and her inspiring story.” The national media probably doesn’t feel Smilin’ Joe is worth interviewing at all, since he can’t put three sentences together without his foot working its way into his mouth.
All I can do, I guess, is have faith in the American people - which is pretty tough to do considering 50% of them are certifiably demented (i.e., Democrats).
Sigh.
I watched both segments and that she did a great job. She carefully avoided a potential trap re: the “Bush Doctrine”.

Link to give ol’ CHarlie some feedback...
Sarah Palin came across as smart, courageous, sophisticated, competent, puissant, prepared, and savvy.
I did not know who Charlie Gibson was. I have not watched network television for many, many years. I have seen this man, and I have heard of Charlie Gibson, but I did not connect the two. I had no opinion of him and was completely open-minded before the interview started.
I realized, shortly after the interview started, that he was coming across as a Democrat Party partisan hack and a very ugly, nasty one. THEN--it dawned on me that he works for ABC--network news--and I was angry with myself for not anticipating this.
Sarah Palin handled herself beautifully.
Charlie Gibson did not.
They cut short her full response about war with Russia. Very poor form.
GIBSON: And under the NATO treaty, wouldn’t we then have to go to war if Russia went into Georgia?
PALIN: Perhaps so. I mean, that is the agreement when you are a NATO ally, is if another country is attacked, you’re going to be expected to be called upon and help.
But NATO, I think, should include Ukraine, definitely, at this point and I think that we need to — especially with new leadership coming in on January 20, being sworn on, on either ticket, we have got to make sure that we strengthen our allies, our ties with each one of those NATO members.
We have got to make sure that that is the group that can be counted upon to defend one another in a very dangerous world today.
GIBSON: And you think it would be worth it to the United States, Georgia is worth it to the United States to go to war if Russia were to invade.
PALIN: What I think is that smaller democratic countries that are invaded by a larger power is something for us to be vigilant against. We have got to be cognizant of what the consequences are if a larger power is able to take over smaller democratic countries.
And we have got to be vigilant. We have got to show the support, in this case, for Georgia. The support that we can show is economic sanctions perhaps against Russia, if this is what it leads to.
It doesn’t have to lead to war and it doesn’t have to lead, as I said, to a Cold War, but economic sanctions, diplomatic pressure, again, counting on our allies to help us do that in this mission of keeping our eye on Russia and Putin and some of his desire to control and to control much more than smaller democratic countries.
His mission, if it is to control energy supplies, also, coming from and through Russia, that’s a dangerous position for our world to be in, if we were to allow that to happen.
He was obviously trying to get her to give simple answers to vague questions. I liked her push back on the Bush Doctrine question. Also, noticed she was using his first name quite a few times. That seemed to annoy him.
So when is Obama gonna get tough questions like this?
Thank you for posting.
Gibson is a complete asshat and in the tank for Obama.
I wonder if he posed the same exact questions of obama?
I found him very insuslting as if he was saying “you know you can't be Vice President”.
Sexism perhaps???
Thanks for the link!
I noticed they edited out her full response on possible war - to make her look more bloodthirsty than the full quote - and also removed Charlie’s ‘Is this a Holy War, that’s an exact quote’ faux pas.
Charlie must love being able to edit out his stupidity. Pity he couldn’t also edit out his condescending attitude!
