In case you haven't heard, the European Union (whatever the hell that bs is supposed to mean: we aren't one country but we want to act like one, make up your f-ing mind already) wants to set guidelines which would see the end of anything deemed to portray women as sex objects or reinforce gender stereotypes. This could potentially mean an end to attractive women advertising perfume, housewives in the kitchen or men doing DIY. Such classic adverts as the Diet Coke commercial featuring the bare-chested builder, or Wonderbra's "Hello Boys" featuring model Eva Herzigova would have been banned.
What I wanna know is why we can't go all the way and ban feminine hygeine commercials as welll. What father doesn't know the untold horror of watching television with their son only to be interrupted by a maxi-pad commercial. The next thing you know he's asking, "Daddy, what's a special wetness protection shield do?" All of this makes me say F YOU European Union. F you feminists, f you feminine hygiene, and F you uncomfortably graphic feminine hygiene commercials.

And the libs in my education when I was young kept telling me how enlightened things were in Europe because they had commercials with topless women.
you know, let europe slide off the cliff!
who cares?
the stuff i read daily in the international press and here
indicates that they’re freaks.
I thought it was a program the Feds puts witnesses into after they have testified against the mob.....
I know, can’t believe the EU would try somethin like this. Who’s pushin this I wonder. I wouldnt think the germans would stand for it.
How about “Bob” who suddenly can please the ladies better since he took this pill....try explaining THAT to a four year old.
But that’s different, that’s about male enhancement. It’s just the women we’re worried about. Funny how the EU has managed to be incredibly sexist while touting feminism
I lived a long time before any of these commercials were shown on television and I knew all about the “products” available.
I agree with the idea of banning feminine hygiene commercials. I get sick to my stomach every time a tampon or maxi-pad commercial comes on while I’m eating or watching a movie with my ten year old daughter. Who wants to see a stupid commercial about a disgusting disposable douche?
