I do NOT believe the polls, they are typically wrong, and even if they are close to being right, we are still in this race!!

This is where the DUmmies are off, IMHO. Yes, Palin changed the dynamic. And she got people to tune into McCain, next night.

But I feel that people didn’t really know McCain. Oh, yes, they heard he was a “war hero” but heck, the Dems were saying Kerry was a war hero- and all he ever really did was undermine our war effort and the troops (Genghis Khan!).

When people watched the convention, and heard McCain’s compelling story, they realized he was a man of character. Even I didn’t know the torture he went through, and I read such things. What Palin did, was she got people to tune in and hear the story. And she made the base happy.
