6:09pm - Russell Brand, apparently wearing Amy Winehouse's discarded beehive wig and Ashlee Simpson's pre-pregnancy skinny jeans, struts onstage to an Oasis song. That's the first time Oasis have been played on MTV since 1995! Well done, lads. Anyway, Russ wastes no time in blatantly plugging Barack Obama and calling Prez Dubya a "retarded cowboy." The press room collectively cheers. Guess the stereotype is true: We media types really are a liberal bunch.
Yuck, looks like this guy, whoever he is, hasn't had a pair of scissors (or a comb, or a brush or shampoo) to his hair for longer than Bush has been in office. Aside from the stupid things this chap said, he is way behind the times in fashion. what an awful looking mess he is. Pity for his Mom. And people pay to go see him? I bet he smelled badly too. Yuck.
Jonas Brothers are a Christian pop act? I guess I’ll have to stop poking fun at them.
I certainly agree with Laura's opinion the Entertainment Industry does need to truncate the number of pointless awards shows they have and exercise better judgment in selecting emcees.
Not true... Clarence Thomas for President anyone? And then we will see how many "racists" are on the left...
Is there not a man left in the Entertainment Industry with the stones to go on stage and and stomp his ass?

Some of the comments at the link are interesting:
“I forget, is Russell from the part of Europe whos butt we constantly kick or the part whos butt we constantly save?”
LOL!
That would give the American Left a collective coronary...I can just see it now.
Apparently not any men but it sounds like Jordan Sparks made a valiant attempt at it.
I actually voted for a Black Republican in the primary....

The reason we have this "retard and cowboy fella" in the White House for the last eight years is because Americans are smarter than liberals give them credit for, and know that the rejection of a candidate like Barack Obama has nothing whatsoever to do with his color, but has everything to do with his animosity towards America and what it stands for. The "rubes" look at George Bush, then they look at Al Gore and John Kerry, and the rubes immediately see these are men who don't have the best interests of their country at heart. They are more concerned with how Europe sees us and whether our laws are good enough for them or not.
The American public isn't as astute as you guys over on the left (or so you think) but they can still look at the guy and get an unsettled feeling from just looking and listening to him.
When he comes out with his "Clinging bitterly" types of comments, even the rubes in JesusLand (as you derisively call it) can see exactly what kind of person he is.
The left will blame Obama's loss in the election on racism. This will be added to the dung heap of their grievances against this country, both real and imagined, that his character was assassinated by the extreme right wing of this country (which speaks not only for the extreme right wing, but the middle and even those liberals who aren't astute enough to realize they are racist) because of the color of his skin.
We might as well get used to it, because that is the way it is going to be.
Because everybody knows Bush-is-an-idiot jokes are so fresh and novel and transgressive at this point.
By the look of him Sarah could do it. In fact, I think her littlest girl could probably do it.

MTV is irrelevant.
There was a time when using “retard” as an insult was easy, but then I realized it meant ridiculing people who never did anything to deserve it, so I stopped using that word.
Aren't comedians supposed to be funny?
Wow! Check out the big brain on HIM!!!
Kinda like a living profile of a Stegosaurus-all a$$ and a pea-sized brain. (to all the stegosauruses out there....sorry-no offense intended)
