Ole and Lena were married and, of course, went to Rhinelander for their honeymoon. On arrival at the motel room, Ole said "Lena, you is so beautiful I yust love ya a lot".
Lena said "Ya, Ole, I love ya too. Can we spoon now"?
Ole said "Ya Lena", taking off his shirt, "I've got 100 pounds a dynamite here, yust fer you".
Lena says "Oh, Ole!"
Ole takes off his slacks and says "Here comes da 100 pounds a dynamite, Lena".
Lena says "Oh, Ole!"
Ole rips off his shorts and says "Well, here's da 100 pounds a dynamite!"
Lena screams and runs out of the door. Ole quickly gets dressed and follows her down the street, catching her after about a block. He says "Lena, vats da matter?"
Lena says "Oh, Ole, after all dat talk 'bout dynamite, den seein' how short da fuse was, I got scared!"

I’m German both sides. The family immigrated to Chicago beginning in 1854. Lived through the fire (it started about a mile Northeast of where they lived) and made good in brickworks and construction. The Lutheran church they attended is still there, now part of Chicago Circle Campus. It was the second Lutheran Church in Chicago.
Now I live about 80 miles due West of that area. In fact, Hwy 38 which comes through our town is Roosevelt Rd in Chicago, and runs 3 blocks North of the street on which my family lived. The church is also 1/2 block North of Roosevelt. Later, they moved to Oak Park, and our home (where I was born) was 1 block North of Roosevelt.
Not planned that way, of course, but kinda funny.
