They could have put up bins which would have allowed for the proper disposal of these flags, via a burning ceremony by a local VFW branch, or donated them to same organization for next years Memorial Day.

To a liberal freedom is nothing more than an abortion on demand, the right to step on a flag or burn it, and to scream obscenities and argue this is protected by free speech.

Liberalism has perverted the concept of what “freedom” really means.

I won;t waste much time on this issue because really it is not an issue but seemingly a fact of life.
In 2008 America there are citizens who repect the Flag of their Nation for what it represents. At the same time there are citizen who despise the Flag of their nation for what they belive that it represents.
Now I am not going to take a poll, commission a survey etc. I will base my comment solely on personal observation over the past say 12 years.
In general American citizens that respect the Flag and understand its significance tend to be as far as a political representation -Republicans. Those American citizens that tend to see the Flag as a negative symbol and lack respect for it tend to be as far as a political representation - Democrats.
So this story does not suprise me..
