I believe the AR-15 is the Civilian version of the M-16.
That rifle she is holding is an M-16. It’s fitted with a Night vision scope.
The military do not use laser sights because they direct fire back to the shooter position.
Laser sights are most frequently used in Hollywood, or by dopes who can’t hit the broad side of a barn from the inside.
