Sarah Palin for VP !! -- McCain is "baggage" on the ticket !! :BY: FReeper, David Osborne

For the record I voted for Sarah Palin in the FR poll, but was disapointed that only 40% of FReepers agreed with me.. I would like to see a new FR poll asking how many FReepers are happy with Sarah Palin.. I bet it would be 90% ---- the same as her approval rating in Alaska.... and soon to be her approval in the USA !!

On another note I wonder if anyone is making bumber stickers that say Vote for Sarah PALIN for VP... because come November that is what I will be doing... John McCain is tha “baggage” that comes with that vote.. and then in 2012 we (THE GOP) can regroup and consider are options at that time.. but for now.. I am fully on board with Sarah Palin as VP ——

now.... here is a line I have not used in a while

TOWARD VICTORY !!!

I am a ONE percenter, thank you very much. The same ones who said Dole would not fly, and said 06 would happen. Without adherence to principle, we are left with mere Republicanism, and now, not even that. Now we have socialism. Aren't we proud.

McCain is no defender of life. He has always been an opportunist on the matter. This is no different. Yet another opportunity to don a mantle he does not deserve, just as he now dons the mantle of conservatism as a convenience.

I’m sorry...I’m not about infantile tricks.

No, no, that remark wasn't directed at you.

I just pinged it to your attention. Unfortunately, it's late at night and, while it's a wonderful time to work on theoretical algorithms and analysis, it's not the best time to formulate coherent arguments in English.

You must be joking.

Yeah, I was. Sorry. McCain will (more likely than not) try to be McCain.

I am disgusted at how this election turned into the charlie foxtrot that it has become. From now until November, pending any more stupidity, I'm going to sit on the fence and be undecided.

LOL! It sounds like a decision of firm resolution! Have you determined that we are now safe from amnesty antics then? that has seemed to be your stand...

in Roamer_1's sad little world, McCain/Palin deserve everything evil coming their way. THEY are the evil ones, don't you know that?

And BTW, Palin is incidental. She has neither incurred my ire, nor does she deserve it. She also does not change the equation.

You are voting for a socialist. I will not.

No.

Well, maybe until the election, but afterwards is a giant question mark.

The problem with McCain's amnesty is that it will award voting rights to tens of millions of law-breakers, who will likely vote Democrat. In other words, the GOP is putting itself down if it pulls any amnesty shenanigans.

PRECISELY. Republicans (and conservatives of all stripes, by their consent) are willfully digging their own grave. McCain has declared that if an amnesty bill reaches his desk, he will sign it.

If that happens in the first four years, Palin is nothing more than eye-candy, as she will stand ~no~ chance of election in 2012. The influx of newly minted socialist democrat voters will quite probably more than offset the Religious Right (30-60m), the largest single bloc of voters in the nation, especially if chain migration is included.

What business is this? Why would the Republicans seek to put themselves out of office, and disenfranchise those they represent? There is surely something else afoot.

Did I say I met him once? He knew both my wife and me by first names, and would often ask about our two little red heads.

Would America have been better off with Gerald Ford or Jimmy Carter in 1976?

Over the long run we were probably better off with Carter. Carter brought us the Reagan Revolution.
We may have to hit bottom again or nothing will change. We will keep electing democrats who put an R behind their name just because they are not as bad as the other guy.
McCain will do to the Republicans what Carter did to the democrats.

Bullshit. You give the Buffoon from Georgia WAY too much credit. Ronald Reagan would have been elected, and elected with a resounding mandate, on his own merits, Carter or no Carter. Don't buy into that nonsense, it's not true.

We may have to hit bottom again or nothing will change. We will keep electing democrats who put an R behind their name just because they are not as bad as the other guy. McCain will do to the Republicans what Carter did to the democrats.

Get a clue. So far as conservatism is concerned, we've been at the 'bottom' for 8 years now, with our 'compassionate-conservative-RINO' at the helm. The best news we got, her limited national security credentials notwithstanding, was Sarah Palin as McCain's VP choice. We can keep bitching and moaning about what McCain is, or isn't, or we can support the GOP ticket and at least have a conservative Vice President on the inside.

If you got any better ideas (and 'better' means NOT voting for, or allowing Obama-lama-ding-dong to get elected through benign or malicious neglect), let's hear 'em.

Palin=sugar
McCain=turd

How is this descriptive of any ire against Palin? It is quite descriptive of the truth. McCain is a nasty old POS which is somehow supposed to be made more palatable by the addition of Palin.
